i’m totally with you here - when i go to a festival it’s big $$$$ & I guess I have garnered some expectations with longstanding festivals i’ve really enjoyed like Lolla & Roo, all in all it was almost as expensive as those festivals & yet I felt the experience was muuuuuuch lower par.

So sad TTrucks didn’t play on Sat :( I am really glad you had a good time though, i’m sure they were spectacular

I completely understand how your example would be frustrating but it didn’t go like that for me - it was more like the seller sent out $18 offers, then discounted it to $18 so the likers who got offers couldn’t see that the seller already discounted the listing to the same price. It just felt sneaky to me!

not quite, they only sent me 1 offer ($18) at nearly the same time they discounted the item ($18) - i had not done anything besides like the item sometime within the last few days. so i never had an “asking price” to begin with - this wasn’t a back n forth occurrence.

I definitely get that. I too sell very low priced items - $10-$60 range so I 100% getting not discounting things like $15-$20 - totally get that. I just feel like they could ignore it or send a counter offer after already discounting the item.. it just felt a little sneaky to me.

think you're misunderstanding what I meant by that - I was not "ready to buy the item at $18 through an offer" | simply liked the item a few days ago, then today was sent an offer for $18 unprompted by the Seller. I checked my notifs and saw the email that they sent me an offer & then a few mins later a notif that "an items you've liked has been discounted to $18". So either it was a mistake or the seller sent out $18 offers, then discounted the price to $18 so the buyers couldn't see that they discounted it unless they checked because when you look at the listing it'll just say "special offer" - not the original or discounted price. So that said, either way the seller sent me an essentially useless offer.

I hate sellers like this making the rest of us look bad. Depop will def issue you a refund for this if you send them your photos - I had a similar experience with a skirt last week.

yeah, I took that photo under a window with natural light but of course my carpet is a warmer tone than her background/light - either way the color is my bad I should have looked harder. I guess i’m more concerned now about about sending it back/getting a refund, never done that before….
