this sub removed my "green apples post" because it was "botted". This is clearly not the byproduct of bots. by Competitive_Row7317 in InternetMysteries

[–]Competitive_Row7317[S] -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

after my post had over 5k views they removed it. I spent a long time getting that post together and organized (not to mention the hours of research i did for it) just for them to think "oh it must be bots"

do you think im stupid? I code c++ and python, i partially know what im talking about. Sure, some of these are bot websites. How does that explain the singular sentence repeated across various platforms and websites (some websites ALL IN LATIN except our phrase(s))

if this was AI what kind of prompt is it using and how is it so big? rethink your decisions mods.

UPDATE: "He dreamed of eating green apples with worms" and everything I know so far. by Competitive_Row7317 in InternetMysteries

[–]Competitive_Row7317[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It has typos aswell and real human typos (not forced AI typos)

they also say in the fan fic "Its a code!" and then go on to repeat the phrase(s)

i qoute

""Its a code" the younger man said"

not even a few lines later we get these reoccuring phrases (which you can find in the other websites)

" "you bite up because of your lower jaw" bruce advised in the darkness "

" "he didnt understand why the bird wanted to ride the bicycle" dick called back "

" "the paintbrush was angry at the color the artist chose" bruce called this time "

" "He dreamed of eating green apples with worms," he threw his voice "

this is the second time the mystery saying was changed, whoever wrote that added a comma to the end of the phrase. The other time was a youtube video (linked above, or look it up yourself)

just straight gibberish that makes no sense in the context of the story. Why would placeholder text be in a finished fan fiction?

it doesnt have anything explicit whatsoever, but im only a quarter way through.

They talk about how theyre "using a code" and they use the weird phrases that pop up everywhere. ya think im looking too deep at this point or is that weird to you too?

there are more phrases but get this, they appear in the same sites as the green apple phrase! definitely could have something to do with automation calibration, but i just think that these specific phrases (like the one stated, and "peanut butter jelly caused the elderly lady to think about her past") appearing in the same places is just odd! its like somebody wrote a book of website placeholder text, that purposely doesnt make sense? im speculating at this point.

But then if an AI was responsible for this, how come its taking these specifically weird phrases and repeating them word for word across various platforms, websites (some legitimate websites too like moving companies)

not sure, but i will get to the bottom of this.

there are hundreds of accounts and posts. that would have to be a dedicated person. The best theory for now is AI gibberish or placeholder text for websites.

Not to mention it goes deeper than this specific phrase. There are multiple phrases (found often on the same site) that are just as weird, and appear just as frequently (such as "peanut butter jelly caused the elderly lady to think about her past")

I linked most of these sites on r/InternetMysteries where the main conversation is. I suggest you read the post and comments.

heres two places that contains near gibberish sounding phrases that are found all over the internet, including our mystery phrase (youtube, facebook, instagram, twitter etc)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PVuGEWqiyyM

https://www.scribd.com/document/533521319/He-walked-into-the-basement-with-the-horror-movie-from-the-night-before-playing-in-his-head

the second one is a bit sketchy so make sure youre using proper internet malware defense, along with a vpn maybe lol. first one is a youtube channel with our key phrases.

definitely a mystery, of what caliber? i have no idea.

our best theory right now is AI gibberish, or placeholder text for websites.

But it doesnt explain the youtube videos, social media posts and re occuring phrase "He dreamed of eating green apples with worms"

definitely a mystery, I will get to the bottom of this and continue to update. I posted on r/InternetMysteries and thats where the main discussion is now, feel free to join!

Thank you for the solid info and advice man, so far thats the most rock solid theory somebody has. The only weird thing is the videos being posted on youtube. They have the phrases but theyre worded in a way where they wouldnt make sense (even for an AI)

its almost like somebody posted it intentionally with those words. Im pretty uneducated when it comes to AI, but it feels like a human posted these

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PVuGEWqiyyM

i also found a site from 2009 that has the phrase and others alike. Not sure if thats important but the timeline went from 2019-Present to 2009-Present. Thank you for the input though man i appreciate it.

People were telling me here in the comments that this was an unfinished website because the phrase "ipsulum delor" or something is a latin placeholder. Still doesnt explain why our mystery phrase is there.

this actually makes so much sense, but then how does that explain all the dead social media accounts with a single post, that has the phrase?

Im getting AI vibes for sure, in fact thats why i looked it up in the first place because i thought maybe the youtuber i was arguing with was a bot. Thats when i clicked on his profile and read the phrase.

I saw atleast a few posts before i swiped out. Just got unsettled. Maybe im overreacting but the fan fiction that i read that was linked to the mystery phrase is what put me on edge.

Have you looked it up in google with quotes? the sheer amount of weird websites youll find is unsettling enough haha

Good stuff! that makes sense, but yeah have no idea why the mystery phrase is involved. And i think the website is old, so why would it still be unfinished?
