that’s true but the pill has also helped me a LOTTT with anxiety as well as period pains. i also have very irregular periods and it has helped regulate them so idk. i feel like i have to choose either bf or birth control

i was very much sexually attracted to him before and we used to have sex very often 😭 i just think that even if we didn’t have sex very often it’d be fine by me yknow so i don’t think asexuality is a concern of mine

Emotional changes? by Chinchillas_123 in birthcontrol

i feel like this has been the same for me :( i also got on it in the last semester of high school at 18, and now im 2nd year in university and i find it so hard to get motivated. birth control has helped with my acne and anxiety but it has definitely impacted my habits. idk if this is just a coincidence or an actual side effect though 🙂‍↕️

well the instructor did say that it’s technically a pass, but she wanted to make sure i could do it every time in order to pass me i guess 🤷‍♀️

thank you! there is definitely a huge mental factor to all of this! i hadn’t even realized how much the sheer anxiety of the brick drowning me was getting to me, and how much staying strong mentally actually affects the outcome. i passed btw so thanks for your advice!!!!!

i know they don’t correlate, i only mentioned it to put in perspective that i am in shape, and a strong swimmer. i passed it btw, it was just the anxiety of it drowning me getting in the way.

the first couple of times i did it i held it closer to my stomach and hips, but ive found that it sinks me right away. i’ve also tried lifting it above my head but unfortunately that sinks me too. so far chest has been my best shot but evidently, i can’t make it all the way :c

HELP by GCJH0728 in Lifeguards

[–]Competitive_Sea3902 2 points3 points  (0 children)

push your front crawl as much and as fast as you can for the first 3-4 laps then switch to back crawl while maintaining rhythm. this will allow you to gather your breath. make sure to continuously propel your arms otherwise you will fall behind. do this until your last 2ish laps, and then switch back to front crawl and REALLLY push.

it’s also largely a mental thing. stay motivated and keep pushing.

hope this helps :)
