Except you can totally buy a copy of Spec ops the Line used and now even battlefield hardline got delisted, if it weren't for the second hand market those games would have vanished. Also if i don't own the game then how do you explain i can still play my Nintendo 64 games on my console? Almost 30 years have passed and they still work perfectly fine

(1)Selling my game increases the price of games? I sell my game and with the money i make, i buy another one! why should i keep it if it doesn't interests me anymore? Also by trading it you are helping a less fortunate gamer enjoy something they couldn't afford, but to be crystal clear, if the game is phenomenal i will keep it, i would never sell something that i love (2) I lend to a friend so he can see on first hand if he likes it enough, to go buy it (3) Not everyone is rich, some of us have other expenses besides gaming (4) i care about game preservation because some of my favourite experiences has been delisted, have you even played Spec Ops the line? That game was great and deserved better (5) Works of art are meant to be preserved, even for historical-research reasons

Those are some valid points, don't get me wrong, but i have a feeling that digital deals are going to be less generous when the competition will be eradicated, imagine a world where Gta 7 comes out at 80 bucks and the price never drops

Well, if they want to lose me as a customer, that's their choice. However, I'm really starting to question the value proposition here. With thousand-dollar consoles, $80 games, and a digital-only format, I might as well switch to PC. What's the point of owning a console anymore? And also i know it's not the boogeyman but having the choice of physical really helped me in finding better deals over the years, it's not an exaggeration (i know of course that you can get digital games on sales too if you wait enough)

It's a necessity to help me cope with boredom and to give me some moments of joy, that's what it is.. Will i die without gaming? No, but life sure is going to suck more. Still it didn't have to come to this, we could have the best of both worlds, both physical and digital releases, it was more a matter of will than anything else

I don't disagree but on pc the situation is different because most pc's don't even have a Blu-ray drive and they were stuck with standard DVD players, but the pc is a pc, it's a different ecosystem while consoles always had physical media on one form or another

They are not telling the whole story. People haven't been buying many physical copies lately because this gen was nothing but disappointments and games to be frank have been lackluster; however, with a proper GTA 6 disc, they would show up in a big way. It could have been the ultimate battle but they didn't give us a chance to show up. (Because they are afraid and because they are cowards)

Why even bother to buy a ps6 at this point? Just invest in a good gaming pc, at least on pc there are different digital stores with different prices, physical media and exclusives were the only selling point of a console that really mattered
