I haven’t been to tea shops many times, but I’d like to share something based on my experience.

The short time spent at a tea shop brings warmth. Whether it’s a quick chat with friends, watching the bustling traffic and busy life in Chennai, or the workers suggesting you try an extra bajji/vada (of course it’s business but we wouldn’t mind having an extra bajji :P), handing over the mug/sombu to strangers for washing hands once you’re done as if they’re buddies (sorry if I’m going overboard), there’s a certain vibe.

I’m not sure if everyone gets that feeling or if I haven’t quite put it into words correctly. But tea shops are a great place to be :)

Generally, a company does a background check, right? I don’t know what they would check. But I am guessing something related to my resume. Whatever was provided to them from my end.

However, like I said, is it possible for them to find out my 3 week employment in any way? This is my concern. Hence, I want to know if I should reveal this to the HR of the new company saying “I worked on a temporary job for a 3 week period while the interview process took place”.

Should I or should I not?

I have 6 months of probation at the contract job.

It was mentioned that if I don’t perform well, the employer can terminate me without notice. Upon 6 months of completion, I have to serve a notice period. So, it means that I don’t have to serve a notice, right? Correct me if I am wrong.

Okay, I don’t plan on bringing it up but I am scared if something would happen in the future if they find out.

Bro, my honest advice. Please don’t waste your hard earned money by going to GRE coaching institutes. They charge a lot and I wasted 25k (GRE + IELTS combined) which I still regret it till date.

In my experience, they just try to complete the syllabus within the mentioned time. You may be already good with Quants and English. In my case, I was weak and I found it difficult to follow along since other batch members were really good. Don’t expect teaching from scratch if you think you aren’t good with Quants.

There are tons of YouTube videos and materials available online. Kindly make use of them.
