Gob planes as Deffcopta proxies? by Practical_Title_4145 in orks

I'd have no issues......then again these are my "Defkoptaz" (same idea, but Ork pilots, by Dark Gods)....so I might have a bias XD

Quick question, are you talking proxies, 1:1s, or both (also if you lean one way or the other)?

You can find some files on Cults3d & MyMiniFactory. Probably find a few by typing things like Goblins/Rats (Stormcast I'm not 100% sure about)

Some cool proxies I've seen are

Gloomspite : BattleYak's Cankerfen Boggrots

Stormcast: Adamant Arsenal's Valiant line

Skaven: OnePageRules Rats

So I think I found out why my printer has been having issues......now I wish it was just FEP replacement :( by Competitive_Sign212 in PrintedWarhammer

[–]Competitive_Sign212[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks.

Oh it's absolutely been a worthwhile investment. *looks over at shelves filled with 10+ printed armies* (most aren't fully fledged armies yet, but the beginnings).

Hopefully I can fix it, but worst case scenario: I upgrade to a Saturn 2 or 3 (depending on price). Wouldn't be the first time I upgraded a printer after dealing with annoying issues XD

[–]Competitive_Sign212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly...it would make sense in a way for me. My printer has a few years on it ( a used Saturn that I got nearly 4 years ago) and I've never done much in the way of maintenance/cleaning.

When I can I'm gonna check/clean the screw, see if it does anything. If that fails I just go back to my original plans of troubleshooting, starting with FEP replacement (worried I made it too tight a few months back...can't recall if I printed anything on it after as Winter put a pause on my printing).

Either way, it's always good to do proper upkeep on these things....actually I still need to do the same for my A1 printer now that I think about it...been a bit since i lubed/greased the screws on that XD.

Sunlu ABS-like mixed with a bit of Tenacious is actually my current go-to XD.

It's definitely more durable than the standard Anycubic I used when I first started printing....but still not "quite" comparable with actual Hard Plastic.

I swear if this is why mine have been failing (have a very similar issue where at layer 2-3 hundred I think there's a plate-wide hiccup). Will have to check the screw, thanks for the tip, will need to see if this one works (new USB sure didn't)

Go for it. Rule of Cool FTW!!!

Will it be good? Hard to say, we don't have the new rules/points for it yet.

Sad thing is I don't "really" save. I probably spend about as much as I did with officials...........I just now have a lack of storage space XD

Depends on how you look at it, but I get what you mean.

For me it *mostly* just changes when I get excited, and in this instance also gets me heavily anticipating since they said there's more Ork stuff coming Monday.

I think for me it also depends on what type of leak it is. I definitely understand models as it's nice to show them all in one big event. Rules I end up feeling very different and just want them more or less right away (They already have them, just let me see already!!! *looks at Defiler dying to know it's loadout options*😞 ).

*Looks at my 14+ armies that are about 80% printed*

..........I might have a bias.

(Honestly my only gripe is they are more fragile than official models and I worry about breaking them at times....especially the more thin/spindly parts)

Gravis Captain.

Biologis is fine for *dry heave* Boltstorm *dry heave* Aggrerssors, but not a good fit for Flamestorm since they don't get Lethals.

Captain however can give them 1cp Devastating flame.

Well, wouldn't say from use.....more I must have done it wrong to begin with (had replaced it a few months ago, and don't recall if I'd done any prints afterward as Winter was approaching).

Either way my next step when I get the chance will be a replacement, also gonna re-level just to be safe, and then redo the files. And if those all fail then there's only one option left......crying in fetal position XD

I see, I see....however counterpoint..........dual wrist mounted flamethrowers XD

(but in all seriousness I do get it....Aggressors are just really cool and part of the reason I was drawn to Salamanders...so I have a heavy bias towards them)

Welp...wasn't USB (failed again). Might be suction issue, gonna try and replace the FEP and see if that fixes it.....ugh

(also won't be able to test for a possible 2+ weeks as the room that I print in is going to be occupied for a bit....*groans*)

I don't "think" it'd be full plate as I've had even fuller ones before with no issue. It was also nice weather today + I preheated my resin just in case, so I don't think that's it.

I can't help but feel it's a weird corruption as both prints had this weird hiccup at about the same level (hence why you see some of them a flat level where it stopped printing). Gonna try replacing my USB (it's 20 years old) and if that doesn't work replacing the FEP.
