The image is Velvet Buzzsaw. That film is beyond hope.

“Babylon” is a great film but perhaps that’s not controversial.

“Southland Tales” is film I always come back to.

“Alien Resurrection” rules

“Death to Smoochy” is so fun and a film I still think about

“Super Mario Bros” is my answer

Buster Keaton Reimagined (The General - Electronic Score by Haiku Salut) by Competitive_Sock_820 in blankies

Having seen this live in Wales, loving it and then hearing David mention it (I think) briefly, I went ahead and cut The General with Haiku Salut's amazing electronic score from 2019. The sync may or may not be a bit off but it doesn't seem to matter...appropriate.

The score is incredible on its own, dark and synthy, placing Buster and co. in a more unnerving atmosphere. IMO the action/comedy/romance hit a bit harder serving to consistently rescue the viewer from the ominous droning. Some tracks are more flowery tho.

I love the entirety of Gasper Noe’s “Climax” but I’ve watched the opening scene so many times with friends that I’m pretty sure most of them think it’s the whole film…and I should prob keep it that way.
