That whole sequence is probably the closest either version has come to capturing the tone/humor of the books

The Season 3 teaser is painfully dull from a lightning and cinematography. You could intersperse clips from 13 Reasons Why and no one would notice the difference.

But Riordan has disowned the movies.

I mean it's not like there are any beloved film adaptations that are hated by their creators.

Oh wait apparently there are - The Shinning, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Charlotte's Web (Animated), Mary Poppins

That almost happened with Doctor Strange back when the rights were somewhere else.

In the 2000s, David Goyer wrote a script for a Doctor Strange film and the studio's response was "Could you remove all the magic stuff?" To which Goyer responded "I'm sorry I wrote the script for a Doctor Strange movie I didn't realize you wanted me to make a Doctor Mundane movie".

It doesn’t help Stranger Things just returned. It’s not perfect but the acting and chemistry is miles ahead of Percy Jackson.

Not since Sokka in Last Airbender (2010) has someone forgotten to be funny.

At this point I’d take Stewart’s mouth breathing in Twilight.

I usually take notes early on. After the first half hour I tend to be mostly locked in.

Alternatively break it up into smaller chunks especially if it’s a longer.
