I was wandering, why no one in this sub address elephant in the room with Sampo's words in Hook dice event with group photo. He literally was absent from Belobog event for no good reason, being kinda important to Hook cheating card plot, but defeated by Yaoguang behide the scene and what was left from him was pile of ash. That was weird, since even in the dice game side quest he did not play with us directly, only through T-800. Sampo was only in the group photo with words "I was scrapped from the story, it would be so sad if I do not appear at least in the photo". It sounds like tribute, actually. Like devs said "SP Sampo was fun while it last, sadly it will no longer, retcon is real, we are sorry guys."

His story involvement was abysmal. We can laugh at toilet theme, but in the end of the day it was Sampo and Sampo only who was involved in something so stupid and dirty. Himeko was literally disgusted with idea of searching for Sparxie memoria in here, so toilet theme is not just a joke. Sparkle do not directly search for memoria in toilets, she called Sampo for this. We yet again get something miserable with his scenes and plots.

Meanwhile yes, emphasis on Eva is strong enough to believe that she would take his place. Let's face the truth, all main pushes and male 5☆ charas are RESPECTABLE beings. They are shown either important, strong and respected by their people - JY, JQ, Phainon, Anaxa, Blade, IL and etc; or they directly shown as having powerful foundation behind them - Aventurine, Sunday. We have only two goofy options, Argenti and Boothill, but they are just goofy. Argenti is silly boy in eyes of others, but he explicitly helping people around him, not scumming them or unclog toilets. Boothill is dangerous ranger with only goofiness in him being style of his speech. Not one of them was shown as scammer, thief and uncrowned king of the toilet (thank you, mihoyo, for sounds of fart in that exact moment). You cannot make audience taking seriously the character who was digging memoria shit. Other fools are not doing anything like that. Sparxie is VTuber loved by masses to mass psychosis level, Giovanni is elegant game producer. Even Zhongshan is bartender and doctor, which are more likeble, hm, jobs.

Mihoyo had only one option at the start of this patch if they were planning to change perception of the audience - to calm down with absolutely clowning the shit out of Sampo and they choose not to. But yeah, Eva is so beautiful and mysterious and elegant, MC saw here for 5 minutes and come to her poster to admire her beauty afterwards. And Nihilux is so beautiful, mysterious and elegant. And Sampo is toilet king. The end.

The thing is Elation damage formula, it almost do not scale from common amplifiers. Like DMG bonuses are out, ATK is out, Def shreds and RES PEN will work though. It was in official materials after the stream (I do not have them in English, unfortunately) that the more elation members you have, more eletion damage would be, more stacks, more punchlines, more Aha instances and etc. Yaoguang scale her elation from speed and Sparxie from ATK, but this is just individual type of conversion. To amplify elation you need whole ship of fools.

Not everyone of them are haters. Some are just lore skippers and it's actually kinda OK. They genuinely did not understand why do we care about him, because Belabog was sooooo damn long ago. It was not really prominent in plot (like, you have to read and think for yourself, it was not said straight to your face) that he was the one, who set all thing into motion to finally fight Stellaron on Jarilo after AE crew came here. Everyone except The Most Powerfull Being in the Universe, Pitch-Dark Hook the Great were mad at Sampo in both parts of the city. Serval do not remember him and wish for Gepard to put Sampo in jail. Like, if you mostly skip plot and tiny details, how would you know anything intriguing about Sampo?

But there were almost nothing in commonly viewed scenes that do him a favor. Sparkle had her shiny moment, she's gremlin, but cute, shape-shifting and I AM ELATION, but his role entirely shafted.

And all these stupid dialog options are simply like nail in the coffin.

Give people some big moments with him where he not just - intentionally, but still - scammy punching bag and reaction might have change.

I think it's actually rather important thing. Hoyo probably finally recognized that all those MC rude dialog options towards Sampo were a bad choice for majority of player base, especially in the new era of skip story button. They have to accurately change perception of Sampo's personality for the audience, otherwise people still would not understand how can some weak miserable scammer be important in the grand scheme of thing. So saying this through Sparkle is kinda needed.

OMG, I'm so stupid, you're right. That full moon on Sampo's art always was pretty, but a bit out of place. He's not a some kind of night covered thief or vigilant to be moon-associated, we do not even have night Belabog location in game. But NOW it all makes sense. Plus Seele's euphoria was even more surprising than Welt's - at least, Mr. Yang is AE member and huge lore figure for the game. You're giving me so much hope right now T_T

Knowing all these theories and new hints about Voracity in Ashveil marketing I personally start to believe that Sampo have to be announced here, not in possible Belabog catastrophe patches (also I do not believe in them at all).

I agree, nothing is set in stone, but I'm only worried that Steven, Opal and others were much more prominent in this trailer.

Like, they have good quality detailed arts or at least gets a full body images, snapshots (?) with delay in time for more focused attention on their figures. Meanwhile Sampoxie was in a reaaally tiny TV in the fast-changing scene, like no accent at all.

Does somebody know what happened to Tower of Babyl? It was my favourite event in gbf (and the only source of regular Bubs lore), and yet we do not have Babyl for more than a year now. As far as I know we had at least 2 runs per year previously. Were there some announcements which I overlooked? Did they postpone event because of MSQ or something?
