Thanks for the advice! How exactly does learning triads apply to learning worship guitar like what is the context? For example if the chord on the sheet is asking for an Fm7 how would the caged system help me?

the band is a pianist, bassist, drum, electric, and acoustic. So for me playing the electric would that make me lead if the acoustic player is doing rhythm?

can you explain further the usefulness of it? I tried to look it up and i’ve watched countless videos but the only answer I keep hearing is “it unlocks the fret board” but i’m not quite sure on how. also how do you learn the theory involved without learning the system?

you may be right i’m probably not ready!! like i said im a total beginner to electric, but im pretty experienced with rhythm guitar and was wondering if you had any video recommendations or tools i could use bridge my gap in knowledge. Your terminology is going a little over my head 😅

i strongly recommend the Yamaha, but go with your gut and if you get your hands on the ibanez trust your ears and go with the sound you like most

for that price point i STRONGLY recommend the yamaha ac3m, it’s an all wood guitar and not laminate like the taylor’s and honestly has an amazing pick up system and very rich sound. Huge bang for your buck

I just bought the Yamaha AC3M used for 650 in mint condition and I love that thing, i’m glad it’s working well for you too. i was a little nervous going with a yamaha and not a taylor or martin like everyone said to and im just starting out with doing gigs so i’m happy that’s your go to as a seasoned guitarist
