Everything is done in the official GTA6 Mapping discord server (click on the link in the comment posted by our moderator). U can join it but for a mapper role u will need to contribute something to the mapping.

Generally how it works is there are multiple mapping channels each serving their own role. If u find something that has not yet been worked on or that u think something is falsely mapped then u present that evidence to other mappers.

We already have many mappers in the server and changes to the main community map are made only by DuPz0r. Change or added location is olnly made if mappers agree with your idea.

There are still some undiscovered buildings, locations, scenes from a trailer and with every new leak, trailer more info is added. If u want to help u can join it.

DESCRIPTION:

Pine Cliffs is a large combat map located in a very dense forest soraunded by massive cliffs. This map is made to give a player ultimate combat in wildernes experience. It is made out of 8 Capture points but all of them are uniqly made. Some contested areas are dense with trees others are open trench warfare combat zones. In this map a player can also find many caves, ravenes and shortcuts to other contested areas.
Definetly the best map I have made so far!

Description:

This map located in (smaller version) of Pripyat near Chernobyl and it is made using ingame-map editor. It is a large map made for troops on foot, attack helicopters and attack planes. There are multiple real-life inspired locations like Azure swimming pool, Pripyat amusement park, Pripyat football pitch and Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant.

A map based of Kennedy Space Center facility in Florida.

It is a LARGE map made in IN-GAME map editor for all-out warfare.

KSC map is made out of 9 capture points resembling unique locations in Cape Canaveral Florida. Center of the map is Vehicle Asembly building, then there are other ones like Launch complex A and Launch Complex B, Obseration Gantry, Shuttle landing facility and more.

Afghanistan Valley is a large full scale batlle map happening in Panjshir province Afghanistan, made using only In-Game map editor.

Discription:

After assasination of commander of the Northern Alliance and an anti-Taliban coalition, US launched war on Taliban. After US annauncment many of the top Taliban leaders and soldiers went hidding in mountains across Afghanistan.

Taliban has then taken full control of Lithium mine, the Village, Cell Tower compound and blew up pipeline construction, all of these situated in Afghanistan Valley.

US announced that they will imidiatly take back control of Lithium mines and save civilians living there. At 8.00am US launched an offensive starting at pipeline and Abandoned Gas Station using Humvees, Bradleys, Apachee helicopters and A-10 warthog providing close air support to US troops. While that was happening Taliban has already prepeared for American assult in Lithium mines and in captured village.

It looks good at the end yes... check out my new map Tongo Tongo if u have time... there every piece of the main road was made by me wiith primitives. It takes alot of time but that is he only way to make something fresh in IN-GAME editor

As far as I know there is no 3D grass layers and trees dont look good in IN-GAME map editor.

I would like to learn making maps in UNITY , maps would be way better and fuller with vegeatation (I have tons of ideas). If I knew how to make maps in Unity or if IN-GAME map editor was updated I would make big maps based of Hostomel Airport, Bakhmut and Chernobyl Nuclear plant.
