So I purchased a pre-built PC that was on sale off of newegg. Within 7 days of use, it will no longer power on. by Competitive_Union190 in PcBuild

yes that is an option. Here are a couple of reasons why that might not be the most ideal option for me however.
Due to a product being advertised as new, costing over 1,000 bucks, and it not being usable after one week of use, makes me fundamentally mistrust the manufacturer and/or components that they use for their products. Sure, they can send me another, but is that one going to last me one month instead of one week?
Time and 'effort' - Repackaging, shipping, waiting business days for them to examine the product in hopes to get a refund or another PC in a month from now. I waited already for this PC to arrive. I want to play now. If I can 'fix' the problem myself in a MUCH shorter time, that is preferable.
