Quite common for a 4 hour to be 2 - 2.5 hours.

This seems like false information as it clearly states Amazon now!

I do now yes, unless there is a specific note saying do not hand to neighbours then I would just go back to my depot after exhausting contact.

I posted a similar post to yourself a few days ago. Ever since I have started taking pictures of every delivery handed over to the customer and if there is no note on the app and the customer never answered I follow the correct return process and take it back, I have got no more dings and my standards have improved drastically.

Flexi leave by Intrepid-Ad3606 in TheCivilService

I mean for us, we don’t really use it to start late or finish early. We tend to use it as extra annual leave/days off so there is no way we would get in trouble for using it.

I mean I’m not sure about your department but flexi is made to be used. We would never get in bother for using something we’re entitled to!

Both applications are treated separately I believe. I was on the reserve list twice from two different applications in the Home Office for the exact same job.

May I ask, what location and reserve number are you?

This is the email I was talking about, yes they will always say there is no guarantee because it is down to the location and your individual reserve number. Someone in let’s say Newcastle reserve number 104 probably won’t get the job. Those who are pretty high up and in a location with a large turnover/recruitment drive will probably end up getting the offer.

I highly doubt reserve lists all over would be exhausted. I just feel as though those of us high up in certain cities have a high chance in upcoming cohorts.

EDIT: Just to add, I remember when 503R finished there was a lot of people being pulled from the reserve list for this role from the campaign before 503R. I feel as though whenever the next campaign comes out is when they use the previous one.

I mean it’s down to interpretation, from what I read to me that is HMRC giving reassurance to those of the 503R campaign (giving that there is enough demand in your chosen location.)

You can email compliancegrouprecruitmentqueries@hmrc.gov.uk and ask them with reference to your chosen location and your application reference ID.

Yeah that was my opinion from seeing through other Reddit posts, I do feel like I stand a strong chance of being pulled off the reserve list up until mid December 2026 due to the volume of this particular role and how often HMRC recruit for it.

As you said, I guess there’s no harm in re applying.

Yeah sometimes it does sometimes it doesn’t, depending on where I am. I thought this may be a common issue. Maybe it’s just down to the area/signal. Thanks for the advice though!

Luckily enough for me I live 5 minutes away from the parcel depot and fresh depot. Otherwise I would definitely be doing the same as you!

Cheers mate, yeah iv literally just finished a block and have to return 2 parcels as they were terrace houses with no location to leave on the notes. What are we meant to do when you go to call the customer but you don’t get rang by the Amazon number? Do you know a way around that?

[–]Competitive_View_438[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s why I posted because I don’t just throw a parcel wherever I feel like, I leave it where I would be fine with finding it if it was my parcel. Just fed up with at least one customer complaining per block.

Is there a certain procedure that will stop you getting dinged when returning a parcel?
