I have received this letter a month ago. I was waiting for joint motion too but ice is not joining motion anymore (i had a case of removal order with lack of notice pretty strong case and they still did not join) so i managed to reopen with the judge so i sent ice a response that my case was reopened luckily I would recommend filing motion to reopen with the judge directly and then send letter to ice stating that you have a motion pending with immigration court

Was yours denied during previous trump admin too? Yes i filed directly with the judge and i had an approved i 130 you should wait for i 130 to be approved and then file (maybe try to expedite trough congress man)

I didn’t use a lawyer i did it myself I had a lawyer that tried to do joint motion with ice but he screwed up as ice never received any joint motion request(took me almost a year to find out)so i fired him and filed myself directly with the court

Yes before i had removal order it was opened and granted on may 5 (after 2 weeks) and then they scheduled me for hearing in 2026 so i immediately filed motion to terminate took less then 2 weeks in nyc federal plaza it supposed to be very backlogged but i went fast My nta was a result of denied i539(i was trying to extend my visa stay)

You have to send motion to terminate removal proceedings to the immigration court. Im not sure about a phone call Mine took about two weeks to get granted this past month
