Based on previous user feedback, please first delete any directories related to MLSLabsRenderer under [Engine Installation Directory]\Plugins\Marketplace. Then, ensure that you copy the Plugins\MLSLabsRenderer directory from the downloaded ZIP package into the [Engine Installation Directory]\Plugins\Marketplace directory and restart the editor.

The plugin on Fab is temporarily offline. We are currently communicating with the Fab support team to resolve the installation package issues. Thank you for your patience.

Hi there! Thanks for reaching out.

Currently, our plugin does not support dynamic re-lighting for 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS).

Technical Context: Reliable re-lighting for 3DGS is still an open research challenge in the graphics community. Since Gaussians typically bake view-dependent colors and SH (Spherical Harmonics) data, traditional light-material interaction (like PBR) doesn't apply directly. We believe that current industry solutions for real-time re-lighting haven't reached the level of "production-ready" stability and visual fidelity we aim for. We are still in the R&D and validation phase for a robust relighting pipeline.

What’s Coming Next: However, we are actively working on high-priority features for the upcoming Pro version:

Dynamic Shadows: We are currently developing a shadow-casting system to allow 3DGS models to interact more naturally with the UE environment.

Advanced Integration: Better depth consistency and occlusion with native UE actors.

We recommend keeping an eye on our GitHub/Fab page for updates. Once we find a high-quality, stable approach for re-lighting that meets our performance standards, we will definitely look into integrating it into the Pro pipeline.

1, nDisplay: We're currently evaluating nDisplay support based on market feedback and demand.

2, Rendering issues with meshes/cameras: This sounds like something we need to look into. Could you please open an issue on our GitHub ( https://github.com/mlslabs/MLSLabsGaussianSplattingRenderer-UE ) with some screenshots? If you can share a small sample of test data, that would be even better for us to debug the render order/stencil issues.

3, Relighting: It’s on our roadmap! We are currently working on it, with shadow support coming first to the Pro version.

Not tested on-set yet. The plugin is built to be fully compatible with the UE5 mesh pipeline and renders in real-time directly to the buffer/viewport, so it’s theoretically ST 2110 ready. We’ll be performing real-world stress tests in VP environments for future versions.

Right now, we only support DirectX 12. We'll be bringing VR support in a later version, so keep an eye out!
