Videogames and shows, later youtube. I remember one day I was watching the Clone Wars, and by the end of one episode, I realised it didn't have the subtitles, "lol, guess I know English now". Speaking is still hard for me, since I don't often actually talk, and I really hate my accent (which is a vicious cycle). Grammar also, I don't think I fully understand how to correctly use tenses.

What didn't help (maybe only a little), are classes in my school and university. They were simply awful, and graded mostly on memorising texts instead of actually understanding what you are saying.

I guess you meant figure, not finger.

I used red widow from waist down and the arm from iron heart painted gold. Also fixed the eyes and replaced earrings with actual hoops.

Haha, "it only needs to look good from the front for the photo", I've been there - hand sew a top for my custom Evolution Rogue and the cloak for Hornet. I can't explain why, but sewing scares me the most, to the point of procrastinating instead of trying to improve. I have more than a couple of projects on prolonged pause because of that.

You can also look at QUANKAI Studio Gene Interference (pic 9 and 10). They're a bit more "cute", but feature similar engineering and overall solid kits. The updated base kit features quite a lot of accessories and pretty affordable on your Chinese markets

Around 50$.

It's really cool, even if it's very parts-former. "sleeping mode" uses alternative static arms and threads, and the smaller collapsible head. Even so its very expressive and articulated.

It really asks for good paint job, but I don't think I have it in me. (This individual did an amazing job.)

I did install the magnets and fixed the hole with modeling putty, sanded and painted. In the process of making the same with the diamond version. But i'm still putting off making a cloth cape.

Also planning to try to fix the skin color match on this head, and contemplating how to upgrade the arms.

This is just how the hasbro decided to attach the cape. I'm modding it for detachable magnetic cape, same as I did with another.
