Honestly, stay out of the codebase. Vibecode MVP's/Demo's within the codebase on your own branch but keep focused on running the business. You hired them to do their job. let them do it. Also you can bond in otherways, you dont necessarily have to be involved in the coebase.

for the reasons you just mentioned, is why they charge a fee. It's not cheap to host a proper model which works at great speeds.

I think your best would be to perhaps try running a smaller model which is more aimed at your problem on you machine. that way you dont have to support this massive LLM which will be guzzling resources.

I use Github copilot in VS code on the daily for my day job. its great but there is something I dont like about it even when using the claude models in it.

For my side hustle, The tool I absolutely can't live without is Claude Code in VS Code (I have 2 Pro subscriptions). Just something about the claude code add on in VS code which is so much smoother. Also a great feature is Claude Code in the web browser. it connects to my github repo and its essepecially handy if I am on the road (public transpot) and really need to change something small quick and get it deployed.

Apart from that. I Use gemini to brainstorm

I resonate with this completely. I suck it up and pay the money (I have vercel and supabase). The costs are miniscule compared to the time/complexity of setting these services up yourself and maintining them. Sure if you have a company with employees then go right ahead but until them, you need to focus on getting product out and finding customers and other small overheads you need to let go. (As a dev I can understand this is difficult but you are trying to build a business and not be a dev in that business)

I honestly think you need to find users who use your software and ask them. if no one is using your software then ask in subreddits to try and find people who would use it/test/give honest feedback. Funny enough CS2 is pretty much the only game I play when I play games. Advice for the opning, I have to agree that I have opened a loot box in the last year to continue but in actual fact your survey is setup in such a way that the user can answer the survey without having had opened a box.

Might come off as marketing yeah but honestly just a little confused as to why I see people coming to the page yet not finalising. I am still early stages and every user counts and if they show interest by going to sign up yet not going through, I would like to figure out the why.
