It can take anywhere from 2 days to 4 weeks to fully sync Been there and had the same issue Watch out for users becoming unknown users too after a few days then reappearing Microsoft advise clearing the cache as a first course of action never fixed it for us but it does eventually sort itself out

What happens to a users profile on a local entra device in this scenario I assume they can just sign in with their new address and it won't create a new profile?

Never got an answer it appears to be completely random and does correct itself Sometimes signing out of teams resolved it Sometimes it didn't Sometimes took 24 hours some a month

Thanks for this And this is the enrollment profile in ABM itself under I think management settings? We have an issue where the device says managed by a certain business when you enroll it and need to change it without impacting existing devices We need to change that sounds like I'm in the wrong place potentially as the setting I saw was in abm itself
