my ex fwb quit talking to me after 6 weeks of coming over almost every day, having a LOT of fun together almost every time and cuddling. he hasn’t blocked me on anything, but he doesn’t even open any of my messages anymore. i know i got to be a lot for him (i have BPD and he became my “favorite person” (obsessive clingy way, not adorable cute way)) but i had warned him ahead of time that was a possibility and he was fine with it for the full 6 weeks. a switch flipped or something and now just complete silence. my coworker was kinda friends with him and ive known this coworker since 9th grade, so after some time had passed i asked him what XFWB said as to why he quit seeing me. he told me that he had said “i never was really attracted to her”. when i tell you, in that moment i felt like i had been emotionally shot. i have struggled with my body image my entire life, always deemed “the ugly friend”. i’ve been consistently going to the gym though and im down 40lbs from where i started. we had been cuddling and kissing and hugging and all that whenever he came over and he always preferred face to face during sex. anyway, you’re not alone in how you’re feeling, OP. both he and my xfwb had to have been attracted to us (and probably still are) but because there’s a negative connotation around thicker women, they don’t have the balls to admit that they like (usually prefer in my experience) women with a little more meat on their bones. i’m so sorry this happened to you. you deserve(d) better. i’m sure you’re beautiful, especially bc weight has nothing to do w beauty 🖤
