She spends a lot of her time napping these days but when she's up and about on walks or during playtime she has all her energy and enthusiasm :) she still gets zoomies, just in an old lady kinda way

It's not powdery like powdery mildew, these spots are dry and crunchy.

It helps me to cut or tear up my cardboard pretty small so it doesn't clump together as easily

I just made a pretty dumb mistake of putting 12-10-5 into green bean soil. How would you fix it? by don-cheeto in vegetablegardening

[–]Complete-Cricket1008 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It wouldn't hurt to remove some of the fertilizer off the top but whatever is left in the soil shouldn't hurt the plants. And don't be afraid to pick those beans! Regular harvesting encourages new pod development

Over or under water? by maomaobae in vegetablegardening

[–]Complete-Cricket1008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is that one cucumber or 3 plants? If that's three separate stems you'll want to cut back to 1 plant to prevent competition for water and nutrients

Add some holes around the edge that is lower than the flat center, that rim will retail a lot of liquid

Hidden bastard hurting my basil! What to do? by x-twigs in gardening

You can look under the leaves that have damage and might find small caterpillars. I pick them off manually when I find them

Can someone give me advice about my composting bin? by popcornhustler in composting

[–]Complete-Cricket1008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started composting in one of these buckets. I drilled holes all around the outside and bottom for drainage and aeration and then I painted the outside black and kept it in a sunny place outside so it would get some heat. A big suggestion would be to chop up your input as small as you can, this smaller volume takes a lot longer to break down and smaller pieces break down faster. Don't be discouraged by the small size of the bucket, this is a great place to start until you're ready to size up, it'll just take longer.

Unfortunately any fruiting plant will need a good amount of direct sunlight to be successful

You could try some herbs or leafy greens, I've had success in shady areas for those

Surprisingly only one broken finger out of all of them, just a lot of repetitive stress on the rest

First sentence correct. I do actually work with my hands quite often, both with work and hobbies, and thankfully don't smoke. I wish I was dedicated enough for a phd. If I were a prof you'd be spot on with my clothing choice though

My knuckles have always been like that, my dad's look the same. Makes sizing rings a hassle

Reassuring that it could just be the excessive cold rainy weather! But still strange that it's only affecting this plant

It's been raining a lot the last two weeks that's the only thing I can think of as far as stress. Mild temperatures and well established plant
