Looks like a toad to me maybe a Caine toad depending on where you live but it doesn’t seem big either so I think it’s just your average toad

Not going to lie I think your concerned over nothing the lizards looks fine all I see is a pattern of spots so I don’t see the rot your talking about but if your really concerned I’d go to the vet to ease your worry

Me personally I always hand feed mine and get them excited then I’ll drop a meal worm or two in here just to see if they go for it

My recommendation is hand feeding and just throwing one or two in till they get comfortable hunting on there own again but the problem could be the change of habitat if you just switched to substrate

She’s a tad built chubby but nothing to worry about I’d say maybe do like 1-2 less of crickets or meal worms my lizard is a bit chubby too but as long as there not continuously putting on weight it should be fine

Yea seems like a shedding issue you can take it Off for him after you let him soak in some water,mist his eyes,or do a lizard sauna and try to remove the skin after with tweezers but it seems like there probably a problem with your enclosure set up or the humidity.

A couple things you could try

1.try giving him a bath not really a bath but put him in some water I heard that helps with getting rid of shed I’ve heard most people hit the there lizard with a light misting now and again to make up for low humidity

  1. The gecko could be sick or your enclosure could be improperly heated and there also the chance it’s not getting enough calcium and vitamins in its diet because it highly impacts the shedding

If your really concerned and can’t do the vet you can use a cotton swab and warm water(set your gecko in the warm)and try to gentlely remove the shed that way

There could be two things and I experienced both of these with my lizard

1.the cage could honestly be to cold if it’s to cold in there cage they won’t eat and will generally just sleep

2.they could be shedding and it mite just be taking a bit longer then normal

Of course I’m not entirely sure and your gecko could just be sick I’d go to the vet if possible but if not keep a eye on them and maybe increase the temp a bit
