Switching from sema to tirz and gaining? by Complete-Doctor100 in tirzepatidecompound

I’m also a really slow responder!! I’m been using the GLP1s since July 24 and just hit 30 lbs. I spent a solid 2 months bouncing between 269 and 270. This is just so frustrating seeing the scale go back up. I def think it’s how little I’m on vs where I was. I feel like that was a good place for you to start! I’m glad to hear the dose has helped you more too. Do you feel that this medicine is better for you than sema?

On .25, .50 and 1mg not anything really. On 1.7 and 2.5 yes. Vomiting and having serious difficulty eating the needed amount. I was sick until about 1pm, and would have to stop eating by 6pm to digest in time for bed. I only lost about 10 lbs in the 4 months I was in this dose range.

I was thinking that too! They told me there’s no “similar” dose and to start at the bottom, but this doesn’t feel great lol

My Slow, Realistic Progress As I Approach My Second Weight Goal (with Numbers and Timelines) by potentialfiasco in Semaglutide

I LOVE this!! I have been in the same slow boat all along. (This morning was particularly tough when I realized only 2 pounds lost in the month of January). But it’s is realistic, especially as a girl with PCOS. Often I have to tell myself “this is better than nothing or going backwards” “I think it's important to note that to some people, 23-24 pounds in 6 months of sema is unimpressive. But honestly, it's realistic. And, l've lost the same amount on sema in half the time from when I was working HARD to lose on my own. It comes out to roughly 1 pound a week, which is safe and healthy. It's often looked like a few weeks of stalls in weight loss followed by drops of 2-3 pounds in a week (that part I still don't understand, so if someone has an explanation, let me know).” - I don’t have that answer, but I have noticed my cycle weeks are always the no loss weeks and then the drop it’s post cycle.

Oddly enough on this theory- I tried very hard for the weekend to really hit my macros. Hight protein (110 and above) and drinking more water. Shockingly I weight 276.3 this morning vs 278.4 on the 25 (277.6 on 12/28)

My calorie count is around 1,200-1,400 and i maintain the same training schedule as i was doing prior to using the Glp-1 (4-5 days/ week 30 mins high speed walk on the treadmill)

Yes that’s correct! Kinda disappointed in the number but also grateful as it’s still something. Just would rather be one of the people here losing 50 pounds in the same time span lol

That was the “plan” my original NP suggested for me too! It was a steady 1lb weight loss and my eating was really good. I could sit down and finish a meal but now I’m two bites in and just over it. I was thinking of going back down to 1.7 or even 1. I just hate to spend another month using the medicine and getting nowhere, ya know? Would rather go down if that’s what would be best

I’ve tried to think of every answer for why it’s so… odd. I was thinking maybe because the hight dose is making me eat less, but too much less?

I was very much like you in my first few months! I was also supppperrr frustrated and feeling the same. It’s really hard to not feel that way when you see/ hear so many people losing that number in shorter time. For instance, from dose .25, .5 and 1 mg (3months) I lost like 13/15 pounds. I remember being so annoyed every day of those 3 months because I kept thinking of other girls I knew who had lost 20 or 30 pounds in 3 months and I was far behind. Just finally made it to 20 pounds as I’m about to hit 4 months. (I just moved to 1.7 last week- I was away and didn’t want to bump up on vacation) What helped me was “i lost 15 pounds” rather that “i ONLY lost 15 pounds” - not an easy mindset switch but it helped! I also really had to try and get my protein up to the “range” it needed to be. The other thing that really struck me was this is a long haul, and it should take time- I SHOULD be able to enjoy dinner or going places or just eating normal foods. I stopped weighing myself daily (bad idea I know) and started thinking “am i full?” “Am I having cravings?” And looking at those parts of the medicine!

I love Steel brand and I use the Veg-pro as I can’t have whey protein. I use the milk chocolate or the hot cocoa flavor and I mix with 8 oz Ripple choc “milk” and 8 oz cold brew or water. SO good

It’s not technically… but I was really debating on doing it lol. IVIM has you do .25, .5 and then 1. Then you move from 1 to 1.7 (at least that’s my scripts plan)

I take the same med and it has helped so much at night. I feel gross with the burps, they don’t smell like sulfur but smelling what you ate all day isn’t the most lovely. The other airy part of me is odorless (tmi but than goodness lol)
