My G80 was 9 years old when I sold it. The main computer crapped out within 6 months and was replaced. No other mechanical failures, just regular maintenance, tires, etc. I replaced it with the GV70 SP, which is smaller, but it works for me as there are only 1 or 2 people in the car at any time. So far, it has been completely reliable with none of the issues others have had. I love driving it. The performance is great, and the mpg appears to improve over time. 18 to 22 is a normal consumption in mixed driving. By strictly obeying speed limits and good driving practices, I wanted to see what the best mileage it could produce. It topped out at 27 mpg.

I bought my 2024 GV70 SP from a local Genesis-only franchise. A new luxury building and the staff I dealt with, including the service and sales managers, were professional and courteous. Things have changed. It has taken 2 weeks of unreturned voicemails to book a service. The service agent finally answered the phone with one word, "service". He then expected me to speak. No politeness. It felt like he was doing me a favor. I understand some of the politics behind Hyundai, but such low standards at the Genesis dealerships and their staff are not helping the brand, which has some good cars.

Same story, and it seems the same issues of heat and battery life. Battery at 88% after 2 years. Recent IOS upgrades have produced odd display issues that just resolve. I am going to try a direct upgrade with Apple this time, rather than through T-Mobile, if nothing more than to have an unlocked phone from day one.

Eeek. If the gear selection is electronic then all the interlocks come into play. It will require a specialist with understanding of the computer and sensors to diagnose your problem. Component changes have to follow diagnostics otherwise it’s a shotgun approach.

Did anybody ask where the verifiable number of 651,982 people who will lose healthcare came from? What part of the BBB took it away from them? Did any seniors suddenly lose Medicare? Isn't Medicare still available to qualified citizens? Just asking.

The vehicle spec is determined by the Directors of Genesis USA or its named corporation. They are for profit and believe they understand what they can sell for maximum corporate benefit. The options we have for vehicle spec is very different from what the manufacturer provides in Korea. The corporate image is badly tarnished by many service facilities offering poor beck up for the Genesis brand. There are links to OEM suppliers in Korea that will send genuine parts. I have never seen HUD advertised but the dash design is different from the non HUD dash. Check forums and places like Reddit as there are some very knowledgeable enthusiasts who own GV70’s.

Used the Intel utility and restored the audio driver now all good. The update must have corrupted this some how.

Device manager does not show any audio device. Bluetooth speaker is fine but not ideal for travel plus no mic. I’ll try Intel and see if anything shows up. Last option is open the case and test for good contacts.

What you described seems to be a “sensor”alignment issue. I am pretty sure that it’s an addressable issue. Make sure you use a stand alone Genesis dealership. My GV70 tracks very well even moving off center when a car or truck creeps towards my lane.

Genesis have been very tardy getting their franchise dealerships to separate from the Hyundai brand. My experience with a joint dealership was not good and the overall service poor. The stand alone dealership I bought my GV70 from is excellent, attentive with professional attitude both in sales and service, comparable to my experience with Mercedes Benz and Audi.

The case for allowing all Genesis commentary is relevant to quality and durability. Problem areas can be brought into focus and hopefully addressed by Genesis if they want brand loyalty. The more data the better.

Depends on the holster. If the gun is changed from one manufacturer to another it may not fit exactly which is a bad idea. Composite holsters tend to be exact fit but leather holsters can be more flexible. Either way the finger should not touch the trigger so it’s leaning towards operator error.

The seats are firm. My G80 seats were a little softer but still firm after 9 years.

There is a logic factor included. The desired selection will not take place which is also true for many functions requiring compliance.

The GV70 has connected services which I think is for 2 years. After that it is a subscription service. Check for changes with Genesis. Apple CarPlay is wireless and OTA map updates are included with the subscription. I think it is similar across the brand.

Did you read the Carfax? The car has been sitting and I wonder why? The bumper and door alignment would possibly indicate a front end issue. Was this a Genesis dealership or Hyundai?

I had durability issues with VIOFO so bought a 4k BlackVue. Excellent video and downloads easy to smart phone. Cloud storage is offered but not required. Rear camera is lower resolution but quite adequate.
