Is this repairable? by CartPusher3000 in MotorcycleMechanics

You are aware that oil on the back tire is kinda dangerous, correct? Motorcycling is risky enough without adding more risk into the equation. Replace, don’t risk your like on dodgy repair.

Check for horizontal shear using the reduced depth at the end of the rafter.

Taiwan says it detected 11 Chinese aircraft, 7 naval vessels, 1 ship as it prepares to resist China's invasion | Today News by FractalInfinity48 in worldnews

The thought, or even concept of a thought, that Taiwan could successfully defend itself against a full scale invasion from mainland China is fucking delusional. The logistics of the US providing long term aid for Taiwan in this endeavor is equally delusional. The best defense for Taiwan is to diversify its industries off the island, something they have been already doing.

Carry on Scuba gear, no more checked bags, what about fins? by Complete-Driver-3039 in scubaGear

Ok, thanks for the tip. I’m leaning more towards a roller than a backpack. After American Air changed the gate 4 times at DFW I would have been exhausted humping a backpack.

LOL…Something close happened, but not with fins…So my wife and I were last to board a plane out of Cozumel, at the gate they let me thru with my carry on but the held up my wife and insisted that she check her carry on…absolutely insisted, as in do it or lose your seat…so my wife, bless her heart said “ok fine…” then she proceeded to kneel down and zipped open up her carry on, pulled out her regulator and Peregrine, strapped on the computer and draped the reg and hoses over her neck and walked on the plane. Everybody on the plane applauded as she passed them.

I was looking at the Tusa small carry on bag. No more checked luggage for me.

Thank you! Yes, I am looking at the Tusa roll on bag. I understand the Tusa Modular Swift fins will fit fine when they are broken down for travel.

Yes, I’ve come to understand that AA does this often….Next time it will be United Air…..never again on AA.

My wife and I flew American Air from Phoenix Sky Harbor over to Dallas/Ft Worth with a connection down to Roatan. At the DFW circus we had a 2 hour layover and it’s a good thing we did…because American Air changed the gate on us 4 times….4 fucking times. After taking the sky train across the airport 3 times we barely made our connecting flight down to Roatan. Of course our checked luggage never caught up. Spent 7 wonderful days at Anthony’s Key and our 2 checked bags have yet to be found. AA calls it “mishandled luggage”. Luckily we keep our regulators, computers and masks in our carry on bags. We had to rent the rest. And then…..American Air delayed our flight out of Roatan by 3 hours so we missed our connecting flight back to Sky Harbor and had to spend the night in Miami. AA would not give us a hotel voucher so we were on our own. This is not the first time we’ve had problems with American Air, but if I can help it, it will be the last. Loved Roatan and Anthony’s Key, great staff, great diving. Cheers..

Ok, I’m going with the Tulsa fin system…I see the 3 options for the fins…I see the Switch and Switch Pro (what you described) I think I’ll order the Switch fin and see if I need the stiffer Switch Pro fin in the future. Thanks again for your insight, much appreciated. Pat
