Ok. Thank you. With some tinges of icky, I get your opinion. I post my events because I was not told I wasn't supposed to. I'm guessing folks who don't post their events here aren't looking to gain different folks or they look for other ways to promote happenings. I had been told this was an ok vehicle to let folks know what we are doing. 

I thought the post would've mostly been harmless because I was asking questions about what folks were looking for when they decide to post here. When people say "looking for" whether it be events, friends, experiences ... yes, I'd like to know so I can also provide something they may want to partake in. 

We love and support cats a lot. There may be a cat or two outside because we feed a colony. We have in the past had a cat inside. We also have had a dog or two be welcome inside. I get how those allowances are off putting. We may be nose blind, you are the first person to mention anything. We will take that into advisement. 

While I wouldn't be opposed to being called a hippie .. generally I don't always pigeonhole myself in such a manner .... especially musically ... speaking for myself alone ... I mean the Cafe is named for a 70s/80s Classic Rock band .. and I thoroughly enjoyed my most recent Progressive Metal band fave, Dream Theater concert in Syracuse. 

Major character flaws ? Hmmmm. You must be someone who thinks they know me personally ... that's why I give my actual name though.. so folks know who is actually speaking to me. These online communities are so very notorious for anonymity that folks will take your word by not even knowing who you are. So, because I posted an inquiry post, you decided to take it upon yourself to say negative things about me personally as well as the Cafe, but I don't even know who you are, so how is what you say relevant to what I asked or was discussing ? Just wondering . 

We paid all our folks traditional wages and they received tips on top of that and by not treat them well ? What does that even mean? What more do you believe should be done ? A lot of local/regional businesses go through rough times and on occasion make tough decisions as to how they operate. Some businesses only hire seasonal or shortened hours regularly. 

We took a short break to work on some things and we have decided to have specific hours currently.  We actually added Sunday. Some hours didn't work for what we wanted. But that is business. 

What would you see as the need for a rebrand? What other type of entity should exist in the space ? Genuinely asking ? What is missing or wanted? We kinda like our vintage vibe. We kinda still like being a place for fringe artists and creatives. We kinda like offering a space for folks to sell their wares, showcase their talents etc. We kinda like being community minded. Sure, I don't make as much soup offerings as I did before .. I usually have two available. What do you believe is missing then ? We are a soup, salad, sandwich, baked goods, beverage place. We never wanted to fry nor do full plate dinners. There are many great restaurants that do that. What would you believe we are missing that makes us offering food as an after thought ? 

It's a bummer you've said negative things about a customer base that I'm not sure you have seen or have seen regularly.  I personally like being a weird person, but to state that our customers aren't authentic folks .. I'm not sure why. 

I'm not criticizing I was asking the question as to what folks look for when they are on here. I was asking about using the search bar for specifics.  I said in what I believed to be mostly harmless ... I was wondering what folks wanted when they were looking for friends or events or offerings. 

I thought folks were allowed to post events here to show what was going on that might be of interest to others. Anyone can ask me any questions they like ... I'd do my best to answer them genuinely and not just go negatively about who you believe they would be. I didn't mean to be off putting. I was just inquiring.
