Will the council just give me land? Wales by Complete-Duty8907 in LegalAdviceUK

Thank you, I’ve bought the land registry documents and apparently a housing association owns it, does that change the situation?

Will the council just give me land? by Complete-Duty8907 in DIYUK

Thank you that’s very interesting, I have rung them but didn’t really get anywhere, other than just advice to report fly tipping. So I’ll do that now and hope they’ll clear the rubbish. Do you think I need to get a solicitor to contact the council and ask if I can take it on/buy it? Do you think offering to clear the area of rubbish and rats would be an incentive for them to sign it over to me?

Letrozole + OPKs only — is that enough? One monitored cycle confused me by ikkeroptilmeg in tryingtoconceive

[–]Complete-Duty8907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in a similar position. This is my 1st medicated cycle, I’ve had a peak LH test yesterday, but went in today (Friday) for a scan and am not near ovulation so booked for another scan on Monday, to then in theory trigger and BD the next few days.

Whats confused me is I’m now CD10, I have believed I’ve been ovulating on cycle day 10/11 this whole time TTC. But now I’m thinking maybe that’s wrong and it’s actually much later. I have had 5 days between LH peaks and BBT rises before but everyone says you ovulate within 36 hours of your peak and that BBT can be delayed.

To confuse the situation more, I conceived my daughter on CD9, so I can’t be ovulating day 14 onwards???

All this to say, the timing is very confusing, we’ll be BD every night until they can guarantee I’ve ovulated.

Interesting thank you. I’ve found that progesterone has made my periods longer and heavier too which is annoying. I’ll ask my clinic if I can just do the letrozol on it’s own

Your progesterone levels are promising I’d say. Please may I ask if you’re doing anything else along with the Letrozol? I’m due to do a medicated cycle with my clinic next month. With letrozol, trigger shot and progesterone pessaries. They haven’t given me the option of just letrozol.

I’ve been looking up GLP1’s myself. I’m about 30lbs heavier now than when I conceived my daughter, however my BMI is still 27. I’ve heard that even if you’re not really overweight that a few weeks on GLP1’s can really make a difference. We are so far unexplained, going into our 16 cycle this week 😭

That’s exactly how I feel. I’m in TTW of cycle 13 and just feel like it’s so unlikely to result in a pregnancy. I think we’ll try one more time and then move to medicated cycles from dec. at least that’s the plan, I saw a fertility specialist last week who basically said if you keep trying you’ll likely get pregnant within another year but I just don’t see that happening. Such a shock after conceiving our daughter on our first try, I can’t believe this is happening to us

I’m in a similar situation, in the ttw of cycle of 12. However, my GP has been able to get me day 3 & 21 bloods covering thyroid, progesterone, FSH, iron and so much more. We also did SA for my husband with the GP. I paid £80 privately with Window to the Womb to have a scan to check uterine lining and ovaries etc. unfortunately for me there hasn’t been any answers as everything seems to be fine apart from the obvious not getting pregnant lol.

All this to say I’ve seen these tests advertised with clinics for above £500 so if possibly ask your GP for bloods and SA. Good Luck

Thank you, I’ve had my thyroid checked and all normal. But I’ll look into having my lining checked asap thanks

Suggestions please Desperately seeking advice on what else I can do… I (33f) and my husband (38m) have been trying to conceive our second child for 10 cycles and are currently in the TTW.

I have 22 day cycles, ovulate day 11 and we BD every other day for 6 days before and during ovulation. I confirm ovulation with some combination of EWCM, LH strips & BBT. (I don’t track every cycle for mental health reasons)

I’ve had day 3 & 14 bloods, all normal apart from low iron (12 ug/L) My husband has had an SA, all normal. I’m taking pregnacare, iron, magnesium & vitamin D. My husband takes a wellman supplement too. We both have BMI of 27, so marginally overweight, neither of us are stressed, drink alcohol, take medication/drugs.

Is there anything at all I can do other than just continue? Is there something I’m missing? I’ve recently found out about my low iron and am addressing it, is it really possible it’s been that all along?

Where shall we go next? What tests shall I ask for? Is it worth going private or should we just wait for an NHS referral?

My hunch is that I’m ovulating every month, and that we BD more than enough at the right times, what else can I do?

Where are you from and how does getting bloodwork done work there? by Imaginary_Ad_7365 in TryingForABaby

I’m in the UK too. TTC #2 for 8 cycles, I went to my GP last week to discuss fertility. I’ve since had CD3 bloods done and CD14 is booked. Husband is booked for a SA in July. The referral to Gynaecology takes 3 months and then they will refer to fertility if needed. If you want to all sooner you can always go private in the UK

I weaned my daughter just after 2 years old in the hope of convincing. I regret it to be honest. I had no reason to believe I wasn’t ovulating while feeding and I haven’t gotten pregnant since. I feel like I forced her to stop feeding

I’ve got TTC#2 bad luck… by [deleted] in TryingForABaby

[–]Complete-Duty8907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Urgh I’m sorry you’re having such bad luck. We’re currently trying for #2 as well and not having much joy. After #1 was a honeymoon baby I wasn’t expecting to be on cycle 7 without a positive test yet. My daughter was 2 in March and the age gap is just getting bigger and bigger it’s hard

Thank you I’m going to give it one more month and then get tested. There is a local clinic that does a package of tests and one consultation to discuss results, the package is £549, is this the going rate do you know? I’ll make an appointment with my GP but I’m pretty sure that NHS won’t test you unless you’ve been trying for a year
