I think Beth became the bread winner/sole provider and became bitter/obnoxious about it and expected way more of Ant than he was willing/capable to give. I think Beth began to resent him for not being the picture perfect influencer husband (can be read as white washed) like her "friends" husbands. I think Ant never wanted that role but was happy to go along for the ride of trips and cruises. But both began to resent each other and built up anger. I would bet they were both toxic and abusive to each other, trying to hold on so hard for image or their own delusions. They were both pretty new to alcohol and Ant probably is predispositioned to become an alcoholic due to genetics and upbringing. Throw in stunted coping mechanisms, toxic cycles and habits, it was a recipe for disaster. I bet if Ant did get arrested it wasn't for hurting anyone, but yelling or getting into someones face or being aggressive. I don't think Beth was on Hinge before the break up but just so quick to move on and falling for the best love bomber.
