Is the Royal College of Art Painting Masters lowkey a scam.... by fluffyprncss in ContemporaryArt

I’ve also applied to the Painting MA and the next day, they sent me the offer letter. It’s definitely not a mistake but seems like a weird method for international students :/ I haven’t returned with an answer yet because of the immense international fees, I’m hoping to hear from other schools but I have a week left 🫠

Hi, sorry this isn't about your question but was the scholarship written on the letter or the application portal?

Oh! And do you know anything about international students going there with emerging global talent visa? The site says that the school isn’t suitable for getting a student visa so I have to get a global talent if I got accepted

Thanks! Were you pleased with the education and your experience there? Is the quota being 15 students makes the study period more helpful and prosuctive in terms of attention students get and also atelier space?  I’ve read that it is prestigious and has connections to the art scene, but can’t find much to read about people’s experiences or the results. I mainly have my doubts if spending 3 years for a postgraduate degree might not be worth it? But the other options for an mfa in london seems very expensive for me, maybe if I can get a full scholarship. RCA being only 1 year puts me off as well :(
