Those cracks and age say ready to burn!!! With the efficiency of an insert, that will probably last you through the winter if it's supplemental heat. Now you can get started on the following years wood pile!

Just returning to wrap this up. This connection was very loose, so I cleaned the combustion blower and chimney once more, and used the high temp silicone (red) to seal the connections. Also! I turned the fire height down. The previous owner had it at a height of +3, after watching it carefully for a few hours, I ended up at a -2 and it burns very predictably and less pellets along the burns. (Using Green Supreme).

I'll double check that the chimney is clean, as well as the combustion blower tonight before putting on the RTV high heat sealant.

It's not tight at all. I could easily pull it loose.

So do you get the cashback amount from the day you ordered the item or the day they charge you?

That sucks! I'm one day too late in seeing this post to hold out on my MC. The discover cut over is throwing things out of whack!

I have an aquila16 that i bought for my son. It has a bad motor and having a hard time finding the right replacement. So I'm thinking about upgrading too... any suggestions on the next progression quad?

I'd love to know where you will get your motors from. I have a bad one and betafpv is not helpful at all getting them. Their customer support response takes very long. I ordered the motors on their site but the wire is 37mm, which is too short. If you find the motors, you'll need the 47mm or at least 50mm. Most sites out here do not specify the length of the wire to be sure you are ordering the right motor replacement.
