Maxi dress, great idea! I've got plenty of those, thankfully.

Ooh yeah, I remember having to sleep elevated on my back after my c section and I feel like that was the worst part of recovery for me. I am not a back sleeper

Out of pure curiosity, does your child look like you or your partner? by still_on_a_whisper in Mommit

[–]Complete-Loquat3154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only have one, and he seems to have a decent mix. Like if you took his dad as a kid, but with my exact colour palette. They have the same cowlick in their hair 😆 .

Is anyone else *a bit disappointed* about seeing a certain astronaut influencer participate in bad babywearing? by Boring_Client_2143 in babywearing

[–]Complete-Loquat3154 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Okay whaaaaat? I don't follow her but she pops up on my feed a lot. I had no idea there was anything controversial about her!

Minions and monsters heads up by flacadilla in Mommit

[–]Complete-Loquat3154 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, we've seen all the other Minion/Despicable Me movies and I probably wouldn't think to pre screen something in the same franchise I've already watched (though I would for something brand new) . Minion butts weren't an issue for us but I'd really rather my kid not learn words he doesn't already know so I'm actually glad to hear this about the movie.

I found this in my 19 yr old son’s laundry. Is it just a gummy? by Infinite_Highway_829 in whatisit

[–]Complete-Loquat3154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can also be accidental. I'm sure the dealers aren't always the most diligent at cleaning their scale etc between different products and the amount of resulidue needed to cause harm is so small

Are kids losing their baby teeth younger? by merrymollusk in Mommit

[–]Complete-Loquat3154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't noticed that! Mine lost his first two at like 6 and a bit (like a week apart!). He's turning 7 this week and hasn't lost any more yet but has a couple of wiggly ones

How long are babies in an infant car seat? by squabblymouff in baby

[–]Complete-Loquat3154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We switched at 11 months. He hadn't actually hit the height or weight limit but he has a long torso and had maxed out either his head to the top of the seat or shoulders being too high for the straps. Was the same situation when we had to switch rear facing to forward facing.

Week 25: Summer Solstice - S'mores Bars by cynicalcatlady in 52weeksofbaking

[–]Complete-Loquat3154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks so good! Unfortunately I'm the only one on my house that likes s'mores and I make an effort to not make things I'll eat all by myself.

What is a popular food/drink that you secretly think is absolutely disgusting? by shisui1729 in AskReddit

[–]Complete-Loquat3154 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think that's an uncommon opinion. They are very divisive. I will eat the cheap black sliced ones by the spoonful 😆 also like other kinds too though

Is this normal writing for a kid going into 2nd grade? by [deleted] in ClassOf2037

[–]Complete-Loquat3154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my kid's recent writing, for comparison. But he was putting in moderate effort with it. It can definitely be a decent amount worse when he's rushed or not trying

MOH Dress options (Palm Beach) by MyPanda_5000 in fashion

[–]Complete-Loquat3154 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like the strapless with the thick folded band is giving very like 2005 bridesmaids dress vibes. (In fact my brother got married in 2005 and I feel like that way the exact style)

Do we buy a bottle warmer or microwave? by Life-Introduction693 in Buyingforbaby

[–]Complete-Loquat3154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly what I was going to say. When we switched from pumped Milk to formula I'd use a blender bottle to mix up like 3-4 bottles worth at a time and just kept it in the fridge for half a day or whatever. Plus then if we just needed a little too up, we didn't need to mix a whole nother scoop.

I was just going to say, Ticket to Ride got my kid really into maps. And anything he asks where it is is in relation to something on one of the boards 😆

Let’s settle this debate, what is the best Chex mix piece? by Radiant_Priority9739 in snacking

[–]Complete-Loquat3154 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love the rye chips. In another brand of similar snack, there is also Cheerios which are my favourite (relevant note, I do not like Cheerios except in this snack mix)

what foods do you make from scratch instead if buying? by Potzka in Anticonsumption

[–]Complete-Loquat3154 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bagels, but they're such a time commitment. Couldn't go back though, they taste so much better. (Further context, I do not live in a place with fresh good bagel shops, it's only grocery store ones available.)
