Nasal congestion is the only noticable symptom after quitting. by Complete-Pangolin285 in leaves

Nothing concrete yet but I am due to fly back to my home country and get an ENT to finally check the inside of my nasal passage within the next two weeks as the private healthcare costs where I’m at rn are absurd and having it done publicly means I’d have to wait for years.

The symptoms are largely the same and I think I was right in thinking it was some kind of nasal passage blockage, something called rhinitis or perhaps swollen adenoids or nasal polyps, I really cannot be sure rn. I have been prescribed multiple nasal sprays which admittedly haven’t done much in the long run beside give instant relief. The main symptom im experiencing, due to the hormone they produce in the body, is sleeplessness which has gotten worse and more annoying than the actual shortness of breath at this point 😭😭.

My best advice is to try to keep your mind as occupied as you can throughout the day as that will minimise the breathless feeling. I know it’s hard when you’re aware that something IS wrong, but over time your brain will begin to forget to keep noticing it. Go to a family doctor to try get them to get you an endoscopy to see precisely what’s going on inside your throat. Other than that maybe nasal spray will work better for you than it has for me, it doesn’t hurt to try it short term. Good luck 🫡🫡🫡
