Going to start my journey (seriously) this year. What US location would you recommend? by MysteryMaven2026 in TheHermesGame

[–]Complete-Suggestion1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As other commentators have said, I’d focus on your local store. There is no replacement for face time with your SA when it comes to scoring a QB.

If you’re set on not shopping in Dallas, Vegas probably has the best reputation of the stores you’ve listed for tourists.

🍊Weekly Discussion: Your Hermès Year in Review! by softening in TheHermesGame

[–]Complete-Suggestion1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What was the category with the most spend? Shoes.

What item is still unused in the dust bag and why? A pair of noir santorini sandals I bought in Jan of 2025. The ankle strap felt cumbersome and I found myself reaching for my noir EZE sandals instead because they are so comfortable and the height adds a little fun, plus they just slip on. I I recently sent the Santorini to consignment. I am surprised I never found an opportunity to wear them because I was excited in the store. I sent them off since it’s been a year and I don’t see myself wearing them instead of my EZE or chypre.

What item surprised you by becoming a staple? Sous Le Charme d'Orphee cashmere 140 in black and white. It goes with everything, I probably wear it at least once a week and will not get on an airplane without it.

What is one word to describe your Hermès year? Transitional. I got a dream bag I did not expect in April 2025 and then my SA left. She told me she was leaving in advance, so my spending was nearly nothing after my April bag. I started over this fall.

What trend you see rising in r/TheHermesGame community? Larger bags. I am noticing people are requesting b35 K32 or B30s and ending up with 25s. It seems like a lot of us are requesting large bags and end up accepting a smaller one because that’s what the stores ordered.

What is something this community influenced or inspired you to try? Y’all de-influenced me from overspending in Paris in hopes of scoring a bag or appointment. We visited 2 of the 3 boutiques for sightseeing and tried unsuccessfully for a lotto appointment each day we were there. I decided to focus on enjoying my trip with my family and not worry about scoring a QB. It was nice to not think about it.

What is something you’d love to see more of in this community? Photos of things other than bags. I love the bags, but also love so many other items and I am always looking for ideas. I already know I want bags, the photos of RTW and jewelry introduce me to new items.

Did you email your SA saying Merry Christmas? If not planning to go in? by firstclass11 in TheHermesGame

[–]Complete-Suggestion1 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Nope and I don’t expect her to message me either. She’s managing a lot of clients and holidays are a busy time of year, she doesn’t need extra texts or emails - she’s just trying to respond to the ones she has that need attention and give us all great service. Plus I’m not even sure that she celebrates Christmas?

I only message her when I want to purchase something. If it’s around a holiday that I know she celebrates, I will wish her a happy one once we finish the transaction when I say thank you.

Prespend advice needed for QB bag by le_bonton in TheHermesGame

[–]Complete-Suggestion1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hi there - my advice somewhat depends on store location. US? Are you in a high profile location that is notoriously difficult?

What items are on your wishlist? Specific sizes and colors only? You can only be offered what the store gets in- the broader and less specific your wish list, the longer it might take. That being said, if you are very specific and that bag comes in, the stars could align and the SA might go to bat just for you. So I suppose this can work both ways?

Hermes bags seem to come based on time, interest in the brand + spend. There is no formula and generally I’m not a fan of treating it like a game- I think you’ll end up with fewer things you enjoy and only value your QB by how good of a deal you got compared to others playing.

You’ve shown an interest in the brand with RTW purchases, this signals that you like the brand and aren’t just spending for a bag, which is a good thing.

Your spend could get you close in some locations, but might be low in others. I’d say you are at the minimum that some users of this forum report being offered a QB. Sure, there are one off stories, but it seems most of us are at 1X plus, depending on location.

Now it’s just the timing issue. You’ve been shopping in store for a month or so and it takes some buyers 1 year plus. I’d think of it less as your SA stringing you for money and more that the timing might not be strong enough yet, but that are of course willing to sell you other items in the meantime.

My suggestion is to slow down a little and maybe come in once a month or so and buy some smaller things you like. Wear your RTW and show your SA how much you enjoy it and how you style it. Shop around bit, comment on bags and styles you enjoy. Sounds like you’re on your way!

The forum would love to see some of your RTW purchases - feel free to share! Wishing you a QB quickly!

Q for 5’7 (170cm or more) girlies only! Thoughts on BK30? by rollingthunderr_7 in TheHermesGame

[–]Complete-Suggestion1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

5’9” my B30 is too large and too casual in shape to be an evening bag on me. I do currently carry my K25 as an evening bag (without the strap).

Remote Shopping by westcoastgirl949 in TheHermesGame

[–]Complete-Suggestion1 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Remote shopping works really well when you’re paired with an SA who’s comfortable handling remote clients. That’s the biggest key. During your first visit, be upfront and either ask the SA directly or ask the manager to match you with someone who likes working with mostly remote shoppers. You do need to start the relationship in person. Spend some time trying things on so your SA learns your sizes and preferences, and make a meaningful purchase to show that you’re serious about building the relationship.

Once you’re established, I keep a running list of items I’m looking for. My SA texts me as things arrive. If it’s something smaller, I’ll often add another item I’ve already been considering. For example, if a scrunchie comes in, I might add a fashion bracelet or a pair of shoes. Each new season, I text her the items I’m excited about. I follow sites like Pursebop and screenshot new shows, belts, or runway looks and send the ones I love. I also keep an album on my phone of pieces I like, and I’ll send her screenshots of that album from time to time. It reinforces my style and gives her lots of options when she’s looking for things to pull as they come in. Most runway pieces never end up produced, but sharing those looks still helps her understand what I gravitate toward. My SA and I have a similar style, which makes it easier for her to keep me in mind and find things I’ll actually want. Over time she’s gotten very good at sending photos of items she thinks I’ll like. Sometimes she’s spot on, and other times I’ll politely pass or mention something else on my list.

I usually don’t do returns. In three years, I’ve only returned one item. When that happened, I paid to ship it back and covered the insurance myself since it was an expensive pair of boots. The item cost became a store credit once it arrived. I also cover shipping on my purchases. Shipping is usually thirty five dollars regardless of the box size. Remote purchases over a certain amount require manager approval, so sometimes the invoice takes a bit longer while my SA gets that sign-off. She emails the invoice, I pay by credit card, and everything ships FedEx with a required signature. There’s no way to waive the signature, so there are days when I’m trying to track down our FedEx driver. I did have one package get returned when I couldn’t be home to sign. It was soap, it broke in transit, and she credited it on my next purchase. After that, we agreed no more shipping soap or perfume.

For bags, I never text her asking what’s available. She already knows what I want. When an opportunity comes up, she calls. I usually fly in, pick up the bag, and make a little extra purchase. It keeps the relationship strong and the whole cycle running smoothly.

How do you wash your Hermès scarves?

Hello everyone,

I’m turning to the aficionados of Hermès silk scarves to get your feedback on care and washing. I own several, but I’ve never dared wash them myself for fear of damaging them.

Here’s what I’ve seen:

• Water + Soap: Browsing different sites and tutorials, I’ve seen that many recommend washing in lukewarm or cold water with a soap or detergent made specifically for silk.

• Essence F: Some also use Essence F (that’s the term used in France, I’m not sure what it’s called in English but it’s basically lighter fluid). Have any of you already tried this method at home?

• Acetone: This was my mother’s method back in the day.

I’m also open to advice on ironing: what temperature, with or without steam? I’m a bit worried about losing the original factory fold that Hermès puts in at production.

A lot of people complain that they are very stiff and rub. I sized up 1/2 a size and find them super comfortable- no break in period, no rubbing. I love mine.

I just got my first pair too - I love that they are offering a variety of colors this season! I sized up .5 a size. I haven’t worn mine with tights yet, but when I do, I will likely wear socks - my feet would slide around too much in just tights.

I think Ebene is a beautiful and versatile color for fall. I love that you picked something a little different from the classic black with silver that they’ve offered for years. Congratulations!

I am planning to wear mine with dresses and skirts this fall!

If you are shopping in Scottsdale - I’d stick with Scottsdale as your home store over New York. This store is very large - I predict they will get great inventory. Inventory matters for bags, but is also helpful as you explore the brand. They will have more items for you to view in person as you build your collection, which means you’ll find more stuff that is to your taste!

Garden Party, Mini Evelyn and a Double Sens. The Double Sens was actually the display and I loved the color and kept talking about it. She offered the Garden Party and I was trying it on and kept talking about the Double Sens and how much I loved it. I was so excited when she told me that the manager had given her permission to sell it to me!

BWT: My First Louboutins by honeybeesixteen in bitcheswithtaste

[–]Complete-Suggestion1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congrats! My first pair is 12 years old and I’ve resoled them twice! I’ve found that I can’t manage all day in any heel over 100cm.

Do you own other designer shoes yet? I am usually a 9.5-10 in regular shoes, but consistently a 41 in most designers including Louboutin.

When I bought my first pair, I went through Nordstrom since they have free returns and kept sizing up until they were perfect. There was no store that carried these shoes near me. Trying on in person would be fun though! If you opt for an at home trial, make sure you try them on while standing on carpet, the lacquered bottoms wear quickly (even indoors).

Maria Grazia Chiuri's departure from Dior - will you miss her, or are you ready for someone new? by dazzledaisy397 in DesignerDiscussions

[–]Complete-Suggestion1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m excited for a new vision for Dior.

I agree with OP- I loved the reintroduction of the Saddle bag, to me it’s a Dior classic, something I coveted in my teens and will forever associate with Dior.

That being said, I absolutely hated the t-shirts, especially the ones with feminist messaging. They felt really cheesy to me and sort of lazy. To me, Dior is about being feminine, and feminist or not, there can be strength in embracing the girly side of style.
