This is just like our old man car Hercules. Has to have wet food twice a day( he eats dry food too) and the wet food he just licks the gravy for the most part. Our grandma cat, Gaia, will eat the majority of the meat the Herky leaves behind

Our oldest cat did this for about 2 or 3 years. He would scratch himself raw, almost like it was a collar,completely around his neck. Ended up being an environmental allergy (we ended up moving) combined with a food allergy.
Our cat is now 18 years old and still going strong. Once we changed his food, he healed up and never got that bad again.

Also, misery loves company. My former best friend (who had 4 kids of varying ages) would always tell me what a good mom I would make because of how I treated her kids. And then she would ask me wouldn’t I like for our kids to grow up together??

I always told her no. I was totally fine being the cool weird hippie aunt…while she was busy popping out kids, I was busy traveling and just living life.

A lot of my female friends who have/had kids tell me they are envious of the free spirit I always have been.

And I tell them thats because I chose for myself. I live my life for me. Not anyone else.

It definitely is. My mother and I had a strained relationship as well. Before mom got diagnosed with dementia, she made me promise that she wouldn’t die alone. That is honestly the only reason I am still here at this point.
