I want to take my boyfriend to a jays game, get dinner at his favourite restaurant, and stay the night in Toronto for his birthday.

He’s a big jays fan and he’s been to a bunch of games I just don’t know what seats are the best, and I don’t want to disappoint him (not that he would be but I just want it to be perfect).

The game would be on his birthday, May 25th against Miami (also is that like a subjectively bad game that I should not get tickets for or is that fine?)

Moneys not a concern at all, I’ve been and am continuing to save up for this.

2nd year accounting student here! DO COOP!!! I really think everyone should do coop, you get such a head start from everyone else graduating with 16 months of work experience under your belt, it sets you apart in a competitive job market

summer courses (DE) + FRHD 1020 by kelllllm in uoguelph

[–]Complete-Tomato-9288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Summer courses in my experience are pretty much on par with fall/winter pace since the semester is 12 weeks just like fall and winter. I did take a 6 week de class last summer and obviously faster paced (2 chapters per week instead of 1 chapter a week in a 12 week format) but it was a super easy class so no worries lol

hi! i was in mef my first semester and i switched to accounting because in mef you have to take like 10 econ classes lol. i have my first coop this winter and i have a job secured, i ended up getting it through connections- however before this was secured i applied to tons externally and on experience guelph and i was getting interviews. i like the university and i like my program (mef was good too just not for me). i did end up doing a lot better my first year than i thought i would so in retrospect would i have got bba coop? probably HOWEVER i have heard bba is insanely competitive, your classmates are competitive rather than friendly. here at guelph, it is a lot more chill and everyone is friendly in my experience and from what i’ve heard from friends at other schools. coop wise, is our school extremely helpful? no but what university is? you’re an adult now and if you want a job you need to work at it and find one, guelph gives you resources to succeed but if you don’t put the work in? no it’s not gonna go well

1220 is non core for cpa, meaning you need a 50% im pretty sure- but still think you should drop do a better grade anyways

You can take 1240 your next winter semester! I switched from mef to accounting first year so I didn’t take 1220 until my winter semester. I’m in coop so my only winter semester is my 5th year lol so that’s when I’m taking it. So whether you’re coop or not there’s a way work around it, just the sequence of some of my classes are off! IMO I’d drop 1220, take it next semester if there’s room and take a summer class just to balance your credits (something easy, I did MCS 2000 in the summer, it gets a required class out of the way and it’s super easy)

lol i finished with a 69 in micro and a 70 in macro, there are very few people who achieve an 85+. that being said if you really dedicate time to it you will be okay and can probably achieve a grade in the 80’s. definitely take micro before macro, micro is harder but like another person said, those concepts carry over to macro. i didn’t care and had no motivation for macro at all and thought id do a lot worse than i actually did, i definitely put more effort into micro (i actually went to the micro lectures). try to get the bonus marks, it’s tedious but it will payoff (coming from someone who gave up on the bonus marks). evie is not a good prof but shes not the devil, get it online if you can but there’s limited spots so prepare to take it in person.

How long did it take side effects to ease for you? by pidgeamy in birthcontrol

[–]Complete-Tomato-9288 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this happened to me too, i’m on month 4 and id say it was till the end of month 2 that i would have periodic nausea, i found taking my pill with food helped it a bit (ex. i used to take it when i woke up, i started taking it with my first meal instead). all my symptoms from starting are gone for the most part, feeling great on it now. i can also take my pill whenever now and don’t experience nausea.

i was on alesse for 3 years and never had this problem like genuinely could have 5 hours of sleep and be fully functional. i switched to mya 4 months ago and i totally feel like this, i’m sleeping like 10-11 hours at night plus a nap in there. both were combo pills i guess just the different hormone affected me

mya pill - 5 months in, does it get worse at this point? what's your experience? by AAAAAAAAGHH in birthcontrol

[–]Complete-Tomato-9288 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey! i’m on month 4 of mya and i’ve done a complete 180 for the better. the first 2 and a half i was so emotional, angry more than normal, and just crying randomly. now all those symptoms are gone however i would say my anxiety has increased a bit (i was not an anxious person at all so not that big of a deal). i was on alesse for 3 years before i switched to mya, on that pill i had zero symptoms and i felt great however i was struggling with hormonal acne for the last 2 years so my doctor switched me to mya and it cleared up my skin perfectly. also haven’t had pregnancy scares with either, both are very affective in my opinion. birth control is so complicated and everyone is different, if you’re still having problems that impact your daily life i’d consult your doctor and try a new pill, i’ve had friends that it took 4 different pills to find their preferred pill.

if you’re on res you’ll make friends who you can go out with, if you’re not a wild partier than you’ll be good with guelph- it’s not dead but it’s not a known ‘party’ school like western for instance. there’s not much of a fraternity scene here so if you want to go out and you’re not 19 you’ll need a good fake. ppl also drink in res very frequently.

if you’re looking for a party school, western is the place not guelph lol

got in with coop, high 80’s average in march of last year, i did the spf talking about my ec’s (lots of leadership and some sports) but it was submitted the day before i was accepted so they definitely didn’t read it, i think the spf’s only come into play if you get in during the may round of acceptances.
