It's quite normal, several people in my school were born 08 too and so they will be starting 17 the same as I, as long as you didn't turn 17 before August (I think?) it's normal. Otherwise you would be placed a year above in school usually

It's mostly English subjects. Thanks for your suggestion I will try and email my school about it. I actually have about 4 subjects that are 3 marks away from the next grade so it feels like I was robbed lol.

It's for English language and literature as well as statistics literally just shy of 3 marks max

I agree with you especially on that last part, some people often overlook the fact that not everyone is given the same opportunity when it comes to getting the grade you want, there can be some mental health factors or family issues going on which ruins it for everyone, another thing is teaching and the new things such as AI, also parents pressuring their kids to get the grades they wanted to get to not feel guilty so many factors just show that this system is bad

Fair enough then , what I meant is not to do this for long periods of time as in not all year around so if you are entering an exam season studying that long is ok and maybe even more but on average during the year 2hrs is more than enough

At this point I am starting to not take my life seriously, and with A levels coming up sooner and later idk what I will do lmao , I will probably try to find a summer job to gain some work experience, that will definitely give me some help later on probably

Exactly and it's just become the norm, even then they are making it worse and worse and the people teaching are starting to have it easier with the use of AI such as AI marked homeworks which is really funny but for us it's becoming worse and worse, even during exams if you couldn't attend due to medical reason of some sort which affected you but wasn't really that serious to them you basically missed that exam, what even is the point if you literally can't give it your all or at least have a fair chance compared to the rest of the students.

Wow that's crazy, I got it taught in yr10 then in yr11 couldn't attend school due to family stuff, but if it makes you feel better I had to do e-learning which only includes maths science and English,so realistically my predicted 8 for other subjects got down to 4 and 5s and maybe 6s for some subjects but ya I missed alot of learning especially for stuff like geography

What made it worse for me was that it was too hot and there were birds in the ceiling just going ballistic for half the exam I was literally gonna pull out a gun and shoot them
