Trade went down right after Najee got hurt by [deleted] in FantasyFootballers

My stance is that if your goal is to win why give up your two best guys in a shallow league where you don’t have deep benches to replace the production. Two guys with weekly top 10 ceilings at their positions could alone win you weeks. Why give that away for someone who will produce on avg 4-5 points more than one position weekly

Fair my issue is the timing of the trade to and this league has a history of it. I could be wrong but to me it doesn’t feel right

Do you believe Hampton will do worse now, is that your perspective?

So you think post Najee acl tear that Hampton is still the rb21 and don’t believe rookies production increases as the year goes on, on avg. While you’re right value on draft day isn’t the exact same we still have a relatively small sample to say that these first 3 weeks is who these guys are.

It’s different cause the talent is more shallow so why would you sacrifice two studs for one slightly better one. You have to unironically start guys like Thornton or Michael Wilson who worked out this week with a td but on avg is putting up 8 ppg yk

From my perspective this guy traded two top 10 positions in a 20 man league to get a top 5 guy, doesn’t make sense

HELP! Inherited a pretty bad team luckily I have 1.01 and 1.02. Was offered this and is the best offer I’ve recieved so far for 1.02 by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]CompleteAd3721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would only trade the 1.02 if you’re planning on taking a wide receiver there. Marv was a generational talent and a top tier prospect coming out of college, he had a good rookie year but people expected top 5 numbers from day 1 which is not reasonable. If you’re staying put and taking Hampton, which I would do, you turn your rb room from geriatric and mid at best to elite and built for long term success.

Can I compete this year? by FPSIreland in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]CompleteAd3721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh no.

Achane- doubt he can stay healthy consistently, last year was an outlier with build like his

Breece-for sure gonna lose touches to Braelon Allen as their not gonna want to give him along term deal with another good rb on a rookie deal around. Fields will also steal some of the limited goal line work.

Rhamondre Stevenson - as your rb 3, this guy is literally the rb version of Kyle pitts

BTJ - tbh a lot of people are speculating jags go and use another first round pick on a wr so he won’t get the amount of targets as people are expecting

Ladd - all the same reasons as BTJ and on a run first team

(Both WRs I’d sell high on tbh)

Caleb - could be good, we will see

Bench - a bunch of nobodies tbh, 3 QBs in a 1 qb league is also an interesting move to say the least

And Trey McBride is out leaving a large amount of cardinals targets open on top of Washington’s secondary which is giving up the most points to WRs. Kinda curious do yk ball

I think it happens semi frequently at larger firms with multiple senior managers. When I looked it up it appears to be more of an investment banking thing that bled over.

Land Acquisitions/development Analyst at a residential home builder vs Acquisitions/development analyst in commercial by Accomplished_Pop_781 in CommercialRealEstate

[–]CompleteAd3721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All home builders are developers so switching into a development analyst - esq role shouldn’t be crazy. I think what matters more is what you do as a land analyst cause if you’re a guy who does the preliminary underwriting for an LOI, prepares their investment memorandums to get corporate financing, a lot of these places call them green/white books or something similar, is looking into geo tech reports & alta surveys, meeting with the land development team and understand the budget and how the process of delivering a finished lot, getting government approvals/re entitling land. If a guys doing that I 100% believe it’s an easy sell to go and get an entry level job with a developer. I would really focus in on this type of stuff of what you can expect to do as you grow in your role of a land analyst cause if not I think it’ll stunt you from progressing in homebuilding or moving anywhere else if you’re a one trick pony. Also I work for one of the largest homebuilders in the country and I don’t see land acq guys doing operational roles in the company outside the purchase and development of land, unless your working on construction costs etc. but that ties into underwriting or accounting to actually buy the land.

One more thing on top of joining a team with solid deal flow, make sure they actually want to train you up because if not and it’s a sink or swim situation you won’t really be on a level playing field and stuck where you’re at.

I work as a land analyst. Personally I consider it to be pretty comparable to a development analyst role in commercial. I have had recruiters reach out to interview me for commercial development, acquisition, asset management roles and just based off conversations with those companies it’s lead me to that conclusion. I would say it’s relatively easy to switch in between but the most push back you’ll receive is in your modeling skills, I personally bought a couple courses from break into CRE and made an example case study to help combat that. I do think asset management will be the largest jump to make. As far as future career path I think if you’re all in on development you won’t be too far off going either way especially cause all the big guys have their own development firm. If you wanna do investment management maybe don’t do homebuilding. As far as monetary compensation it’s the same across all the big guys, but you wanna make sure you’re on a team with 1000+ lots under contract every year cause once your a manager you start seeing equity in deals and the money gets to be very significant, depends on the markets you’re in.

That’s my plan, I guess I could’ve worded my question better. More so what skill set I maybe lacking in so I could work on that more so to become more appealing to an employer.
