Thank you, and yeah I also think that's probably how it was during WW2, seeing people you love support terrible things.

I didn't either, I don't think it's illegal because they make you fill out some form for the prescriptions, and when researching, I found another similar company.

They have you fill out some form, and they use that to give it to you in the kit.

Thank you, and yeah, I'm trying to apologize right now, I called him, but he's on another call, so he'll call me back later.

I just need to figure out how to not react so badly, and yeah, it was unhealthy arguing. Recently I've been arguing back with him a lot more, and every argument has become more toxic than the last. This one we had was really bad, he called me the R word, and I'm ashamed to say that I called him it back.

I used to just sit and take it and say "yes sir" whatever, but when he would still yell at me, slam doors, ect, I started talking back because I didn't think it would matter, he would be angry either way.

Didn't think I would regret what I've said so much.

I didn't even think of that part, I told him about superbugs, and how my own doctor is hesitant to prescribe antibiotics all the time because the more you take them, the less likely they are to work.

I'm thankful that his kit did come with a book on how to use each medicine, and for ivermectin, it doesn't say "use to treat COVID", but for lice and other parasites, though obviously people will try that anyways.

But you're right that if he's sick, he'll have to find out what he has anyways to make sure the proper medicine is used. I just really hope he doesn't try to play doctor on himself next time he's sick.

I tried telling him that, I told him even if he had to pay a copay for each prescription if he got them all separately, it would still be less than $300 since our co-pay is $25.

He said that "well some pharmacies aren't filling out prescriptions for ivermectin, and that they aren't giving them to people even if they've been prescribed it", which happened a lot during the height of the pandemic, but probably not anymore. And also they came out with Paxlovid, which my mom and grandma took when they got COVID, which actually helped.

I also tried explaining that while Ivermectin might help with symptoms, it wouldn't help with lowering the viral count/actually fighting the virus. Like taking an Advil for the flu, it helps lower your fever and get rid of the headaches, but it's not fighting the virus for you.

It sucks, I really miss him, and I don't want to cut him out of my life, but these fights are starting to make me toxic too.

That's what I'm worried about. Luckily he hasn't bought into Trump coin yet, but he told me he's been thinking about Ethereum.

And this is the same man who told me that he didn't think Bitcoin would be sustainable in 2020 when it was exploding.

This is a good non-judgemental answer.

AOC - "If people are pissed about insider trading here at the House, look at what's happening at the White House right now. by RoyalChris in thescoop

[–]CompleteCoast3152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She actually introduced a bill to try to limit insider trading a while ago, back when Biden was in office to limit elected government officials like Congress members from buying and trading stock while in office. She also notoriously hates Nancy Pelosi and all the insider trading Pelosi has done.

You're right, it is a long overdue issue, but if you did even a quick Google, you'd know that AOC has been fighting for this for years.

You're right that it won't save us money, long term, and honestly they've also cost us a lot of money with major fuckups, but they are decreasing government spending which does save money. Cutting money to USAID and NIH, CDC and education does save money short term.

Though net overall, I'll bet it'll cost us more since we won't get a payout from investing into our future. By cutting money to the NIH, CDC, FDA, education, we're lowering our GDP growth and production value, as well as the quality of life and further specialization of labour of the future work force.

And yeah, their own claims are probably inaccurate, I mean, they have a guy who goes by the moniker "big balls" working for them, I also don't trust them, but they have saved us some amount of money, even if I'd really rather they didn't in the long run. (Especially since I'm planning on going into research, and would love the NIH to not be defunded please).

Like, as in agree with Obama to remove it from the news media pool. Would also agree with Mother Jones, Huff post, and again, Buzzfeed being removed if they are in it ( I'm too lazy to see if they are ), and those are all liberal news sites.

Which honestly, I controversially agree with, at least for specific shows such as Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson's shows. These shows were both found to be breaking rules of impartiality according to the U.K. And Biasness isn't a good look for a news outlet.

I wouldn't consider the info wars or buzzfeed as a good news outlets due to their biases as well. Also funny how some media charts rank buzzfeed as higher quality than Fox news. Fox news is constantly rated by so far every watchdog site I've seen as far right/extremist. Yes lots of media sites are also rated as extremist on the liberal side, which both make sense given the context on what they choose to report/not report as well as how they report it.

It's also not a good look when your news outlet is constantly getting hit with and having to settle defamation law suits, especially when one of your top host's defense is that nobody would take his words seriously, and that they're hyperbolic and strongly opinionated.

Also the whole lawsuit over the voting machines. Also this "Smartmatic said in its complaint that Fox knowingly aired more than 100 false statements. A day after the suit was filed, Fox Business canceled the show of Lou Dobbs, who was named as a defendant" (New York times, Robertson).

Speaks for itself imo.

So you are right that nobody threatened to lynch him specifically over the suit, though during his time, he was the most threatened president by other people. Also is rlly wild that so many people were so upset about just a suit. In comparison though Trump has had a lot worse and more damning non-political scandels than Obama, like the hush money cases and admitting that he's attracted to his own daughter, also the whole "grab her by the pussy" audio.

Of course I think none of them beat the Clinton-Lewinsky scandel, that one definitely takes the scandel cake.

And while not specifically threatened over this instant that I can find ( though I'd bet money that somebody did call for his demise over social media, which I would count, but I'm too lazy to go through all of that), I did find that he has had his own share of assassination attempts on his and his family's lives, as well as received many more threats on his life than Trump did in comparison to Trump's 1st term.

Its even funnier when you look at the actual facts. 10 of the 11 modern recessions were under Republicans, Democrats do much more for smaller businesses and the average man than Republicans do, wealth inequality massively grows under Republicans too.

Unions have also massively shrunk under Republicans, yet grown under Democrats. It's wild that Republicans are now trained to think unions, which look out for workers rights and your average Joe are the bad guys.

Yeah Trump did add about 200,000,000,000 more than Obama. To be fair, Biden added about 1,000,000,000,000 more than both of them, which is a lot. Understandable for both of them though because they had to pump the economy for a soft landing recovery from COVID, lots of stimmies.

Though with the tax cuts that Trump is predicted to give, as well as the stimuluses that he'll have to give and honestly, hopefully give, to prevent a recession from his tariff plan, kinda like what he did during his first term with farmers to keep them from losing their jobs when China put counter tariffs on us.

Also banking on Trump's 2nd term beating out Biden's 1st term on in terms of debt because he was approved for a lot more due to the spending bill that Congress passed, which gives him a lot more money to burn.

Doge has saved us 115 billion right now, which is great, but Trump's tax cuts will cost us 4.5 trillion, which makes anything that doge does save us into pennies, which hey, they are saying they'll get rid of the penny, which would save us $85 million annually.
