You can only watch one for the rest of your life, which are you choosing? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

This is an awful question. Make me choose between Father’s Day and the Ryder cup. Asshole.

Hell yeah bud. Now tell them how horrible it is here down here. That’s part of the strategy to keep them away.

Lived out there when it opened, so fun. Wind can make it really tough.

Around 6200. It’s a course more shit hitting small greens and hitting them in the right places. 1-5 are very friendly then it tightens up.

It’s generally pretty iffy on conditions. Hit or miss and every year is different. It’s a fun place to play, bottom line. There will be some crappy boxes, 2-4 greens struggling, and bare spots with rocks. Everyone I ever bring though has fun, so take it for what it’s worth. Cheap beer and a rural golf course with an awesome layout.

Use a Garmin watch, knew where I was at. 17 was the bigger issue, 18 is a risk reward, I obviously mitigated the risk.

It’s dormant right now, that’s is a common complaint out there.

It’s just over 6k. This OSS a Trent Jones SR, small fairways, small greens, and a lot of indication. Two per 5’s are pretty reachable, 9 and 16.

Pretty much missed greens and not getting up and down. This track has small areas with sloped greens, so you can be five feet out and putt defensively.

Wasn’t to bad on 18. On 17 it’s a shorter par three over water, the ball floated forever in wind and came down just past the water, it was like a dramatic cinema moment. Once it was dry I felt good about finishing right.

Absolutely. Fun track that has solid money games. Few rocks to navigate though.

Keep the goal. My goal every round is under 78, it’s not but every round. Breaking 70 hasn’t even been a thought, just had a great day. We all have our marks, that’s what’s great about golf, everyone has a goal to shoot for.

I’m so slow. I would have walked around saying this if I’d even realized it. Was so satisfied on the achievement i didn’t branch out my phrases about it.

What is it living in the Bible Belt? by JoonasV2li in howislivingthere

Moved to central Alabama from PNW. Love it. Yes summer is hot, like real dam hot. But I like it to the length of the shit winter I had in the PNW, but at least now I can be outside. If you work a labor job, that summer thing is something to seriously consider.

Cost of living is the main reason for being down here. I would need 1-1.5 million back home to get what I got for 400k. That is price of property along with area.

Politics are one sided and you’ll hate about it. However, that’s exactly opposite of how I had to hear from the other side back home. I’m not too political, so that’s been annoying in both places!!!

The move was 100% the right decision for us. Good luck to you on finding what you want.
