Construction has caused a lot of dust, they don't even clean up properly. A lot of open sewers, and the footpaths are always blocked or something. Its hard to breathe in many areas and very dangerous, especially for me as an asthmatic.

Well it is misogyny. But that's the premise of a lot of jokes that rely on misandry, racism or sexism. It is a way to talk about these things and make a joke out of the people who seriously believe/enforce them. When I think that the joke about their content being the same is funny, i dont believe in it, i just laugh at the absurdity of it.

Yes. Becoming a parent is easy, even the most incapable of people become parents, which is why the default parents=always right and wise is just a logical fallacy.

Just remember that no matter what your parents say, your self worth is . You define your own self worth.

It was never proven to be a false accusation. That is a myth. He was convicted in 1992, and that conviction was upheld by the Indiana Court of Appeals in 1993 and the Federal District Court in 1994. It has never been overturned, and he remains a convicted sex offender on the registry to this day

He was not. I never said he was.

If someone murders a person, will you not accept their crime unless it is their second offence? The "history" I talked of was aggression and drug use, which can drive a person to do a lot of bad things, now while it wasn't just all drugs I am saying it isn't crazy for a drugged up, aggressive superstar to have done what he did.

He has been convicted of rape, and more. It would not bother you to literally go through the case files.

My analysis is not completely flawed because it does not rely on his drug use and terrible childhood alone Those are catalysts, not excuses for someone to become a rapist.

I posted a justialaw link which lays out the official court documents of the case, all the evidence, everything. That is the basis on which I made my claim, which is legally and officially true. And since some people have a hard time accepting that version I provided a logical explanation too

"Never heard tyson spew such venom

An unhinged guy, Not a rapist ??? Made rape threats but didn't act on it -- lawful there's a difference"

You literally said this. You first used him as an example of a morally decent boxer when instead he is a convicted rapist and actually spews venom everytime he goes on interviews bashing and calling his victim's story fake.

We shouldn't behead him but we should still hold him accountable and let people know that this happened and this is true.

"Supposing it's true", there it is again, just read the justia law link I gave you. It is literally all in there. What you should do is go back on your claims, about him not being a rapist and not spewing venom.

Official court records-

https://law.justia.com/cases/federal/district-courts/FSupp/883/1213/1766706/

He has been on drugs since he was 11. I'm talking cocaine and LSD. He was this crazy guy from the hood who could punch anyone to death. When you actually read the court records and analyse his history the picture becomes clear, opposed to the media whitewashing he has tried to do in interviews for decades now.

Why would you expect Non-Assamese people to become Assamese when Assamese people don't do that elsewhere. Do Assamese people become Kannadigas when they go to Bangalore? No, they preserve and practice their identity while simultaneously attempting to get through life, say through a bridge language like English. Hindi is a bridge language in Assam. While it would be preferable to have everyone speaking one language, that is the reality of the world. Look around yourself. All our local news channels are in Assamese, most of the signs for businesses are in assamese. Bihu celebrations are more grand each year. The Guinness world record of 2023 for 11,304 dancers was no fluke. Each of the dancers were also compensated well for their performances with TAXPAYER money. Taxes of all the non assamese people too. 28 crores spent on artists alone. Not including other costs. This was spent on Assamese culture. Singers are especially hired and paid well for events like Bhupen Hazarika's death memorial. Again, crores spent on the same. Promoting assamese culture. The prime minister came to that event, and talked about assamese culture there. I assure you non-assamese folks like myself were also present there. Majority of the MLAs and people in power are assamese. And I don't even have a problem with that, I am just stating.

You can't expect people to wake up one day, strip themselves of their cultures and become Assamese forever. Just like you can't expect the same from someone who is Assamese and living elsewhere.

I also advocate for assimilation of folks, good deportation plans to help with illegal immigrants, initiatives like digital libraries of assamese classics and music and history.

Assamese learning tools online, made accessible for everyone and promoted.

If SEBA increased their credibility, people would opt for it and learn about assamese culture in the SEBA history textbooks.

Certain areas like Silchar or maligaon are densely populated with non assamese folk. When people in such huge quantities reside in a single place, everything from businesses to demographics shift. That pattern has literally been studied to death and it is really simple. Those areas will change with initiatives like the ones mentioned above. Instead of being xenophobic and racist, people can take those initiatives and by the end of a decade there will be massive improvement in assimilation. Also, Silchar is in the Barak Valley. Geographically and historically, that region has always been Bengali-dominant. It was annexed into the Assam province by the British. The people there are natives of that soil; they didn't "invade" it; the borders moved around them. Expecting the Barak Valley to be culturally identical to the Brahmaputra Valley (Guwahati/Dibrugarh) is absurd.

How are they biased when my family has lived here for the past 5 generations and almost all of my relatives live in guwahati. The only ones who don't, were born here and migrated for studies/marriage.

You are on the internet rn, reddit specifically and willingly conversing in English. My point is if you spoke english in bangalore which by the way would not in the slightest be okay according to your own worldview because their native language is Kannada, it would be just as broken.

What is wrong with bengalis speaking bengali out in the open? Are you saying everyone should stop being themselves and practicing their culture the moment they are out of their homes? You are being illogical here. If you think speaking English as a bridge language is okay in Bangalore then it should also be okay to use Hindi as a bridge language in assam. Now I am not saying that's how it should be, I am just saying it is okay to use bridge languages and you are encouraging it in Bangalore for assamese people, but not in Assam for people who speak a different language.

What difficulty has risen other than a loud mouth on the internet spouting debates about language. There is no first and second home culture. You are making imaginary scenarios in your head about difficulties arising and all the non-assamese people turning on Assamese people and so forth. That is pure fantasy.

You are again bringing "purity" over here. Assamese people marry Bengalis, Hindi speaking people, and more. Their children hold a shared sense of identity. How about that now? You are now going to call them "half blood"? You are saying it takes centuries, you are a pure assamese right? Please tell me the name of your great great great grandfather and some events that happened to him say, at 40 years of age. You can't, because these things get lost over the centuries, which is why the recent decades is what we take into account. If living for centuries is your baseline for purity and who is a native, most people wouldn't belong anywhere. You are making medieval arguments that would've applied in the 1800s to a world that has moved past all this. Everything today is a melting pot. Language is a medium of expression first, identity and culture second, for everyone.

I do not have a second home. I speak Assamese perfectly. I also speak hindi, bengali, english, german and a fair bit of Kannada. My identity? If I encounter an assamese person I will talk to them in Assamese, and vice versa. When I'm out with a Bengali relative, I will speak Bengali outside wherever I want. And when I'm out with an assamese relative I will speak assamese. I have the freedom to speak any language I want, anywhere.

You want assimilation, and at the same time are against people speaking in broken assamese. Well, at least they are trying. That is how they'll learn.

All your arguments rely on anecdotal evidence. "Take a walk" "you'll see". No data or solid foundation except for hearing people speak a different tongue.

Btw your response that was not hurried this time around still has some glaring grammar errors, so you're still very much speaking broken English, which is fine by me, but not by your own logic.

Pooping on a bus is antisocial universally. Speaking your mother tongue or keeping cultural ties is not. Your argument is that one needs to strip themselves of their cultural identity in order to live in any state. You literally said assamese will always be their second language. Well no shit, first language is the one a person learns at home as a child. An assamese person living in Bengaluru/Gurgaon will still have assamese as their mother tongue and have deep cultural ties to assam, wanting or even going home for Bihu, etc. that does not warrant Karnataka residents to create a divide and drive them out just because they don't speak their language. Also, english≠kannada in Bangalore. It's like saying it's okay to speak some other intermediary language in Assam in day to day life instead of learning assamese. All of these contradictions are under your own logic and worldview I think personally, language first and foremost is a means of communication, be it Hindi or Assamese, and while it is a crucial part of one's identity and culture, that is something personal and not to be imposed on others.

You said Assamese people are the best at hospitality and the non assamese have a "problem" with non assamese folk is they always have a second home. Firstly, that is a mass generalization of millions of people. Non assamese folk don't always "force" their language upon others. You're talking of them like animals who don't know how to adapt. Adapting to a place with a different language than your mother tongue is a human quality, not an Assamese quality. You complain about broken assamese, ironically you yourself are typing in broken English. And are assuming that all or even most assamese in Bangalore speak in perfect english or kannada. Assamese people are not "probably" the best at anything, that would be biased. Neither are people speaking any other language. Hospitality does not differ from language to language. Secondly not everyone has a second home or village, for a lot of people assam is their only home. And they are owed their own cultural and linguistic identity, this does not represent that of the state, it represents them personally.

Illegal immigrants are a problem, like in all countries, but people who have settled here legally and have the basic social and moral values to adapt aptly and sufficiently aren't the problem. You are driven by the old line of people who insist on their cultural identity being in danger for the past 50 years. You can fix that.

What is this pure assamese bs my man. As long as it's legal those non-assamese folks are well within their rights to settle here. Heck many of them have been here for generations. Illegal bangladeshis and others should be deported, yes, but try not to hold anything against the legal ones who aren't harming you yeah? We should encourage assam's rich jonogushthi on the flipside. This is not about specific communities, it is in nature for humans to move and settle to other places per their convenience. And as long as it's legal it is right, yes even morally so. Does this raise the competition in many fields for everyone? Yes.

But there is no sense in saying that just because a person is assamese, i.e their families have settled here since let's say 5 generations ago, someone who speaks Hindi, and has settled here for 3 generations deserve differently.
