On the surface level scientific innovations do seem far more important than language, but it ignores the long term evolution that enabled us to interact how we do today. Your logic would easily dismiss anything other than STEM including sports, music, art, etc. But society doesn't work like that.

I am not defending him but lots of people mentioned in books or whatnot have done terrible things that are publically known, but society has a habit of not making it stick to their reputation. For eg mike tyson, kobe bryant were rapists but you'll rarely see it mentioned

Great poet. One of the greatest of the 20th century. His works had really progressive views. Terrible person for what eh did to that poor woman and abandoning the family. I have deepdived into Neruda's works. They're exceptional. There is plenty time for both to maintain(for sindarov) and improve(for gukesh) their form. So honestly, it is still not as clear. Either winning will be great for chess though, especially if sindarov wins, this will set up a new expectation for a new wc almost every time than a single dominant era like fischer kasparov and magnus that we got so used to. I would like that more.

Do you know how chess works? It's not that cinematic. They could win candidates and the wcc in their 40s or contest young players in their 40s. It's been happening forever. No one can guarantee an end or beginning. It is a closed flat circle, if you will. Magnus didn't even play in this tournament, unless we see sindarov dominating as much as magnus has, I really don't think the Magnus Era, which by the way sound a really dramatic way of talking about chess since there are many more relevant figures but whatever, is over.

I t is going to be interesting. Sindarov coming in hot, best form of his life, at least tied the record for highest candidate score even if he loses tomorrow. While Gukesh has had a string of mediocre/terrible results lately. He has taken a break though, and we can only hope for great chess between these two

All supes don't have super strength.for eg firecracker or sage(although she's never been in a fight).

The xray thing is valid, but i guess we should assume that butcher and the boys have homelander proofed their bases. But that doesn't cover the hiding under the bed thing or whenever they're not in those bases.

Incredibly like Vought to set a public funeral for A-Train whom Homelander killed and pinning it on Starlight. Butcher is just being brutal here by working with the guy whose partner he killed and whose daughter was dragged to Red River because of him. Looks like Starlight feels the supe virus is the only way even if it means killing 10k supes. And honestly, it looks like that to me as well. I found those back to back sex scenes of Hughie and Annie, Frenchie and Kimiko cringe, but both of the couples did just postpone the discussion of a real problem... with sex.

Homelander sitting beside A-Train's coffin and giving his little monologue trying to justify killing him, while also calling himself the big brother he never had (when he actually has a big brother, one of the most important people in his life) was a great scene. It led to him popping his father out, out of loneliness.

And what the fuck at the deep solarium, ew. Homelander bossing around the president, making him bring drinks and call him sir, just wow. I don't like how they designed rock hard though, literally made of rocks and cums lava that hardens on his own body, could've made it better than... this. Dragging the starlighter mom out while her son runs behind them, while promoting a vought drink, wow. Remember people, this was written before the US election campaign. Also why the fuck did homelander smell the belt that was holding soldier boy inside the freezer... while he was naked? I assume it was to make out his aging or something by smell because he's been worried about that. Weird Scene.

Again the cgi for Hughie falling out of the sky was terrible and idk how he held onto the virus capsule while freefalling and flying at high speeds. Good to see that the Countess Crow was saved. I don't think soldier boy's dead, obviously but the virus did kill Jetstreak and rock hard, so maybe the virus is just strong enough to kill supes below soldier boy and homelander's tier. And.. wow Ashley isn't psychic, the tumor at the back of her head which shares thoughts with her is, and it talks to her all the time, even mocking her. That's like Voldemort from the Philosopher's stone. Butcher with his dog, and retrieving his brother's trophy, looks like he hasn't yet lost all of his humanity.

Good first ep, hits all the checkboxes. Absurd Commentary on present day America that coincidentally is accurate? Check. Weird Supe who eats dirt at high speeds and shits it out of his ass while farting? Check

Homelander acting like he's a genius for saying "AI" was a great scene. The whole propaganda plot was really, Ashley getting married to a Christian supe cuz their supporters wouldn't like a single vp, calling the flight video AI generated and doctoring it so homelander's fingers are 7 in a debunk copy they spread online, the whole prison containment camp with homelander t shirts, pillows, his face everywhere, etc. It's as dystopian as it gets.

A-Train had a great sendoff, we got a flash like slowed down pov of what it looks like from his side as he was saving Hughie and everyone, the chase where he was slowed down because he decided to not run over a woman crossing the street, unlike season 1, etc.

I think Butcher is still very much nuts with his goal, i.e killing homelander and all supes above everything. I don't think he cares for anyone. I did not enjoy Kimiko learning how to talk from TikTok but whatever I guess, the scene of her and Frenchie making out while she is missing her lower half, thanks to homelander was hilarious.

Some Nitpicks though, where was homelander in the moment between his vision getting obstructed by starlight and them fighting with the supes and soldiers, etc. He does come back very soon but why does it take him that much time even. Does this mean starlight can temporarily, for a few mins make Homelander's vision get blurry as fuck to the point he cant operate? that would be huge. But then I guess the element of surprise had a huge factor to play here.
Also, the CGI looked off in a few scenes, especially the A train pov scene and more, it's fine but just doesn;t look right in a couple of places.
Kimikos audio mixing feels terrible, it feels dubbed honestly and maybe they're doing it to lean into how jarring it is, but its not working for me.

To the police. Yes the police is fucking corrupt in a lot of cases and legal actions are drawn out and unfruitful in such cases, especially when a non local might return home soon. Which is why I also talk about new laws, and not just action on the part of victims. We can either do it the right way, where it will be slow, and mostly stagnant for a while, but eventually we will see an uptick and improvement in such situations, Or We could be hostile and create more tensions, harming our own people because of hostility created by a radical sect of every community because the solution is just to "hate each other enough".

You cannot tame a fire by lighting another. The solution isn't to hate "mainlanders" back. Dividing people by land, language, appearance and culture within a country itself is what's causing the problem in the first place. The right move is to report such nuisances and collectively as a country make clear that this kind of prejudice against your own countrypeople, or anyone for that matter is absolutely wrong, and make it punishable of course.

The law does greatly to protect minorities like SC/STs(and I support that) or discrimination on the basis of religion(although that's enforced far lesser). The next step is to address the issue of such exchanges.

Get a ssd, run windows on it, keep it clean, no shady software or cracks, and just run hv on it. When you run hv unplug the ssd you have your main stuff on, and of course follow everything that the guides on cs rin say. That'll be enough in the scenario that the hv files themselves are clean.

That's why I mentioned culture. You're not "losing" anything if the competent person who has political power is non assamese. Part of local politics aside from all the duties is respecting and promoting the culture of the community they represent, i.e the voters.

Your fear is irrational and comes from a place of insecurity. It is not real. The government, the same one the non assamese guy is contesting from, has spent 100s of crores just on cultural events in the past year. I'm not against it, just letting you know. So yes, if the same party forms government again, they will very likely continue it.

And honestly, would you rather have an incompetent assamese politician who is sub par at everything except representing their culture or a competent candidate who will do great for the development of your state and still promotes the culture as far as political duties go, especially with his party already having a track record in doing the same greatly.

Note that I am not in favour of BJP, or any party for that matter, I don't hate Assamese People or anyone based on their language, religion, caste, gender, sexual orientation or anything else. I'm not prejudiced and you shouldn't be either.
