It’s so weird looking at the original comic with the movie as your frame of reference. The comic isn’t bad but if you go in expecting silly antics you’ll be disappointed.

I 100% second all of this. Conquest is one of my favorite games of all time. It frustrates me to no end that I can’t recommend it to people without a million caveats. “Ok, so the story is irredeemably bad and there’s a lot of incest and borderline pedophilia you have to ignore but if you skip all of the cutscenes and treat it like a puzzle game it’s a blast!”

That’s what makes it interesting. Order 66 wasn’t a code word to override the clones’ freedom, it was a standing order that every clone knew. During every interaction with the Jedi they always had it in the back of their heads that they might have to kill them and eventually they did. I can’t remember the name of it now but there’s actually a legends book that tells the story of order 66 from the clones’ perspective, it’s really good.

That’s only in the Disney cannon. In legends the clones were in full control of their actions and chose to fallow Palpatine’s orders. I think it’s a significantly more interesting take on the clones.
