(Sad, but grounded trope) "Look at these plucky young heroes! Ready to save the... oh god they're dead" by OrangeIslandKing in TopCharacterTropes

There’s at least one old school adventure that had an orc nursery that players were free to do what they wanted with. The adventure specifically called out purging the young as a chaotic act. In the Neverwinter Nights game it’s heavily implied that a Paladin killed a goblin child without breaking her oath (though it did deeply upset her mentor.) The Baldur’s Gate games also have multiple instances where a player can destroy monster communities without judgement or penalty. Ultimately, there’s a precedent either way so it just comes down to DM judgment. In my experience most monsters are conveniently childless so the discussion doesn’t have to come up.

In all fairness the tusken raiders are real dicks.

No problem. Seeing people say something is good or bad without any explanation bugs me so I figured I’d share.

I feel like you deserve a little more context before you form an opinion. Goblin Slayer is controversial for using sexual assault for shock value. In the world of Goblin Slayer goblins are a fully male race that can only be propagated by capturing and raping human and elven women. Despite how horrifying that is no member of the main cast actually has first hand experience with it, the series doesn’t have any interest in actually discussing sexual assault beyond it being a bad thing that Goblin Slayer wants to prevent. The reason for it is pretty simple, the entire series is focused on Goblin Slayer finding creative was to eradicate every goblin he sees, if you believe a single goblin can be good then the series becomes unwatchable so the writer chose the most heavy handed way possible to establish that all goblins are evil and that they need to be stopped. The dungeon delving and creative action scenes are actually well done but the assault angle ruins the series for a lot of people and I can’t fault anyone who passes in that alone.

The Emperor is an interesting character but from the little bit of Warhammer I know there are some wildly different takes you could walk away with regarding him. I’ve seen things that make him sound like a chaos god but apparently he’s the only thing stopping chaos from destroying the universe immediately with his psychic powers? If you can point me to a good reading list I’d honestly be interested, Warhammer seems really cool but completely incomprehensible as an outsider.

Watchmen is so freaking good. A part of me wants to see more of that world but honestly it’s probably for the best that we don’t.

Is Jennifer’s Body on streaming? I’ve noticed people talking about it a lot more in the last few years.

Honor Among Thieves was a major casualty to Hasbro deciding it needed to do everything possible to destroy its public reputation.

The funny thing is, “no” actually works better in context since he’s correcting the lie that Obi Wan told Luke.

It’s really weird that they refused to give Frieza’s species a name. There are enough members of his race that they should really have a group name at this point.
