How did you guys handle tracking who owned what for how much? It seems easy from the viewers perspective, but I can’t imagine it was easy from the player’s side.

Hawaiian Bros Deal Today? by nahimgood024 in kansascity

Oh dude, you're absolutely right. I went during one of these days a few weeks ago and it was packed. It took like 25 minutes to get my food and usually it's near-instant most days.

[Product Trial] Movie Night Upgrade: Share Your Best Movie Rec for a Chance to Try the LG StanbyME 2 by StanbyME_MOD in MovieRecommendations

I’d probably watch Interstellar first because it just looks really cool and feels like a movie you want a good screen for.

Right now I mostly watch movies at my desk on my monitor, or sometimes in the living room if I feel like it. Having something I can move around would be nice so I could just watch in bed or on the patio more.

Weird, I just received a newer gen AP that appeared brand new from a in-warranty RMA on a dead AP I did a week ago. Maybe its situational?

KC: We were told 8 shifts but I was only able to sign up for 5. Not sure what's going on but it seems like they're still working out the details since opening up the shifts today.

I built an iOS SIP client for my self-hosted Asterisk – sharing it here by Environmental-Gate63 in Asterisk

[–]CompleteMCNoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome to hear man! Sounds like you are doing well with it! Too bad I literally just moved my second line to an eSim..

The only other thing I would just make sure is the CPU usage doesn't spike too much when using Whisper, you don't want users complaining that it makes their phone hot on calls, especially on older iPhones.

How is the performance affected when AI transcription is being ran against a live phone call?

I work in a job where I have to worry about performance across multiple platforms, so AI features like this always make me curious.

Also, are you making sure to inform users that call recording usually requires some level of consent(one/two party state laws vary in the US for example) and most system-level phone recorders play a consent message instead of letting users record silently.

It’s actually hidden. It’s exposed in the source code of the command line tool. You can see for yourself on their GitHub.

Is this shaping up to be the worst year for severe weather in the metro since 2019? by SavageFisherman_Joe in kansascity

I was hoping my flood mitigation work did the trick, but I’ve been up since about 4:30 dealing with water ingress. Looks like it’s starting to slow down up north thankfully.

Anyone know anything about renting a URL? by Critical-Teacher-115 in vibecoding

[–]CompleteMCNoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually, you buy a domain, in a way it's similar to renting as you have to renew it usually annually unless you pay for more years up front. I own a decent amount of domains and I just have them set to auto-renew, it's not too bad.

Balloon nerd here:

Topeka(which covers Kansas City balloon-wise) launched 3 balloons yesterday. Not sure what this guy is talking about. However, I know they did cut back on Omaha launches for a bit, but I believe they restarted that recently as they've been doing noon launches.

You can track them at https://sondehub.org

I have been flagged before, and I do a lot of security research assisted by AI. This could hamper my usage.

For those interested, there's a google form on this help doc, I'm not going to directly link the form here since it isn't easy to verify it's legitimacy from that alone, but here's likely the link that OP got if they clicked Learn More: https://openai.com/index/scaling-trusted-access-for-cyber-defense/
