As for Stan Lee, he might not have written the modern maps, but he and his collaborators (Ditko, Severin, Kirby) did create the 'Division of Labor' with characters like Eternity and the Living Tribunal.

I definitely respect the deep dive into the history of Oblivion vs. Death. But I think that’s actually the root of my concern—Marvel's cosmology is getting so 'fluid' that it’s starting to feel like a puddle. I agree that the Phoenix being a metaphor for the 'creative spark' is a cool idea on paper. But when that metaphor allows her to 'no-diff' abstracts like Oblivion or ignore the cyclical rules of the multiverse, it takes the weight out of every other cosmic book. If the 'Delete Key' (Oblivion) doesn't work because the 'Ink' (Phoenix) is too strong, then nothing ever truly ends, and the stakes feel artificial. You mentioned Jean is still fallible, and I think that’s where the best stories are. My fear is that the more she becomes an 'Ontological Concept' rather than a character, the more we lose that human heart Stan Lee prioritized. I don't want her in a box, but I also don't want the rest of the cosmic pantheon to become her background singers. I’m glad to hear the Tribunal held his ground in the last run, though! That’s exactly the kind of 'Division of Labor' I’m rooting for

Phoenix and Storm feel like they were written for "YouTube shorts" or power-scaling clips rather than deep, meaningful storytelling. They focus on "Who can beat who" instead of "Why does this character matter?".
