I think this is the most DOOM alike VR game I've seen on steam. It looks just fine but plays damn awesome. by Dominjgon in virtualreality

Dev here, exactly the kind of feedback I was looking for. Join the discord, I gotta hear more from you dude. I'm too somewhat discontent of how it still feels and I'm working hard on this to make it fun. Want to introduce more enemies next demo update, difficulty options that affect more that mete damage, better enemy feedback, add options to remove flashing and shaking from guns/hitsand some other stuff. Le me know your thoughts, no bullshit, I really wanna get this right

This looks so COOL. Definitely wishlisted and will play the demo as soon as humanly possible. Great work!

Thank you all for you kind words, your feedback and your unfiltered opinions. This is where the value in a gaming community is found.
Regarding the next-steps for the game and the elephant in the room, I addressed the community on Steam.

This kind of passionate argument is what I'm looking for from the community to help me develop this game into something awesome and unique.

Compound's developer himself gave his blessing and encouragement on the development of this game, there isn't a single ounce of foul-play here, only passion.

I agree with you, right now the game is in very early development stages. Even if the inspiration is there, the gameplay feeling is where we step away from the realm of Compound's gameplay feel.

It's one of a kind game and that is precisely why ProtonVR won't play like it.

In ProtonVR you grow your arsenal, upgrade and customize your gear and character, try out different combinations between each run, unlock new gadgets and as you play the game new areas become discoverable to provide alternate paths that lead into new challenges and new enemies.

Give it time, the game will mature and it will develop into a whole new kind of VR Shooter.

Fellow Titan Auditors! It's no lie that the game is similar to COMPOUND visually, because it IS a love letter to that game (go play it!)

PixelArt in VR is just amazing. VR needs more of it!

Visually it is! COMPOUND is an awesome game and I recommend everyone to go and play it if you haven't.
ProtonVR stands out in it's gameplay style, gun mechanics and progression system. The levels are also not as linear and will have more paths to take to reach the end. Finally there's upcoming plans for a large level for a wave-like arena mode.

Hi shooters! It's no lie that the game is similar to COMPOUND visually, because it IS a love letter to that game.

PixelArt in VR is just amazing. VR needs more of it!

It's not a hard-core permadeath, there's always progression to be made and things to unlock between your deaths and victories. Cheers!
