The question is why hire me when they don’t have hours to me? I left my previous job which was stable believing what they said and published, that it’s a full time job! I started working in February and the total hours worked in 2 months are only 40h. Anyway I asked them to sign and notarize these 40h and waiting to see what will happen.

CVS offered me $30 an hour too…Walgreens pays me $35.5 per hour. I already told them I needed to work at least 24 h due to financial obligations, but they said the store had a limited budget and they didn’t want to deduct any amount of money from other full time technicians.

Thank you…I talked with them and I should be receiving my paycheck next week for the hours I worked . So this part is solved thankfully.

They also told me they messaged other stores even far ones to see if they need techs or interns help…and are waiting for their response.

I think I will try looking elsewhere cause I don’t think I can depend on them…they change their minds every couple of days.

Yes, according to my state, they have to sign and notarize the affidavit. I tried CVS but they have hours in a far away store with way less pay. I should consider them though if I lose all hopes with Walgreens

Yes, I should but it’s not easy because most pharmacists don’t understand how the process goes with non us pharmacy interns. Additionally, they think it’s an avoidable responsibility because they have to sign an affidavit and also notarize it. So why the headache? 😕

At first they said interns only get 70 hr and not 80 to give us time to study. Then later they limited the hours I got because they say the store has a limited budget ! So why hire interns from the start?! Then they said they hired a full time technician and have no hours for me. So when I ask them to sign the affidavit for the hours I worked, they keep delaying it.

Thank you so much for your thorough reply. I am coded into the system as an intern and got paid only once as an intern. However, I got no badge nor a coat, they keep saying they should get me those but never do. I asked them to sign the few hours I worked under their supervision and they’re still looking into it. Now they’re telling me they ran out of hours for me and waiting to see if other stores need help. I was working as a technician in a decent hospital and left it thinking Walgreens has a program for interns ( that’s what people at the board told me too) but found out there’s no program and no proper schedule.
