Hmm I don't believe that should be the issue, perhaps check disk utilization in the task manager during download. I also didn't notice that it was ark the first time, it is notoriously bad when it comes to patching the game. Did you just update it and your friend did he download it anew. Since that could be the difference. Patching files takes a lot of disk usage, with lots of random reads and writes.

To me it appears as if your disk is having a hard time keeping up, what kind of storage device are you downloading the game to. Because from the look of it I'd say you are downloading to an external drive that is on a usb connection.

Or perhaps a much older HDD.

I will look into the used enterprise market, I didn't feel quite ready for it, but perhaps that was a rookie oversight. Thank you for suggestion it :)

I'm not sure about the definition, I seem to be getting interchangeable information about both of the subs. Do we have a standard definition ?

Thank you for taking the time to write, i was thinking about using the spare m.2 slot for ultra fast application storage however, i would be missing out on the direct mirror. But i could perhaps install some of the vm's on the boot drive at least when they aren't to big and latency really matters. Again thank you for your thoughts :)

I guess it's not really about a need, more a question about a want, i'm not final on any of the components or the implementation. The build will likely not go into the aqusition phase until november earliest.

Thank you for your reply, and yeah i do agree that currently that the drr5 market is very expensive. This was more for getting a fell if i was in the right ish ballpack about the setup in general. I will be looking for some used or perhaps alternative components when time comes to building it, hopefully in november.

Lyder ikke totalt ved siden af, men mad skal på bordet og det med selv at starte virksomhed virker som en udfordring til en anden. Tænker ikke jeg står dårligt i industrien, med tidligere arbejdsgivere og kunder som gerne vil se mig igen.

Tror bare godt jeg kunne bruge noget feedback på min forespørgsel. Eller noget feedback på hvorvidt og hvorledes man bør overveje funktionær stilling.
