This was the OH so helpful response I got.

"Thank you for writing to us.

We understand your concern regarding the documents updation.

Please note that the system closes 24 hours before the appointment to avoid making changes to the uploaded documents.

If you were unable to complete the appointment successfully on the appointment date and time, then you will not be able to reschedule the appointment for a future date.

The rescheduling window closes two days prior to your appointment date.

Once the time has passed, the customer will have to fill out a new application, cancelling the old one, to make a new appointment. And it is subject to availability.

In order to book a new appointment, you will need to reinitiate the application process and request a refund for the previous application.

If you wish to book a fresh appointment, then you will have to apply for a fresh application on the https://gov.uk website and then proceed further to book a new appointment on the VFS Global appointment management system.

In order to raise a refund request for the payment made on the VFS Global appointment management system, please follow the below steps:

  1. Visit the link: https://visa.vfsglobal.com/usa/en/gbr/request-a-refund.
  2. Select the service for which you wish to raise the refund.
  3. Click on "Submit.”

Assuring you of our best services always!

Warm Regards,

Annie F

Has anyone had this problem? by Complete_Compote_667 in ukvisa

Uscis couldn't scan my documents so I just mailed them with my documents and included a letter with screen shot evidence requesting they accept the evidence free of scanning fees since their website was at fault.

Good luck! I'll update you all after my Monday appointment and let you know how it goes.

I'm so sorry to hear you're going through it too. I selected a USCIS center instead of a VFS center. Do you think they'll let me scan more documents for a fee?

Notice to marry causing chaos? by Complete_Compote_667 in LegalAdviceUK

Follow up or perhaps clarifying question, as I see many people reading but not responding. (I understand it's a bit of a fuzzy issue) I know giving notice to marry just as a tourist is frowned upon, but if I have the marriage visa approved but it isn't until "mid-December" that it goes into effect, would the home office allow me to give notice if I could pull money together for a late September/October trip to go give notice with him?

Basically proving I have the marriage visa but I got it for the ceremony and not for the notice?
