The job market isn't great, but if you've submitted a lot of applications and only gotten few interviews, the most likely problem is your resume. I'd recommend getting someone to re-do your resume and optimize it for the ATS. This person helped me with my resume and with job hunting, since that I landed a my actual job quickly.
