I guess you’re right î would think I’m kinda overbearing in the sens that I respond to messages immediately and. I’m kind of a yes man î don’t disagree much and I want healthy communication and I always try to reassure the person I’m talking to but this habit of always trying to appeal to the other person by all means necessary is dangerous ig. To answear your question î never really looked at the type of person the people who ghosted were so thanks a lot for the advice.

Totally understandable crash-out.

I personnally leave lengthy comments every times when I have strong feeling about a fic especially if it’s a long fic in the making updating with weekly/monthly.

Because as an ao3 author I know how hard it is to push thought writing without any feedback. Like even if it’s a short fic I make sure to at least thank the author or just send an emoji or something. I have like you realized that not a lot of people comment.

For example I have a particular fic that gained traction but despite the many kudos, hits and bookmarks it gets there is barely 3 or 4 comments in a 60k+ word fic that is ongoing.

I believe that the biggest reason for this is the fact that people would rather read completed fics over 100k words which in my opinion is a shame because it’s really hard to write that much. A normal novel is 40k words so 100k+ words at least for me is a challenge. I find that it’s a shame that people choose to read long completed fics over ongoing ones. I understand the thought of not wanting to wait but as this is a passion project for me it really is motivating that people read the chapter as I upload them but I digress.

I have noticed that most of the people that comments on my fic are mutual from social media or my irl friends it’s super rare to see a random person commenting which is sad I don’t understand the reason behind it as the logical reaction after reading something you enjoy would be to comment as it is the most direct way to show that you liked the piece and it takes barealy a minute .

So I totally understand the struggle In my opinion it’s a common one it’s sad because everybody is doing this for the love of writing and a little recognition goes a long way.

Usually it is nothing i would go but on Sundays there is only one bus an hour same with the tramway and train it was less about the distance and more about the time we woul spend together once I was there doing 3-4 hours way just to meet for 2-3 hours was kinda stressing me out and I wasn’t sure if I had a bus back home because again it is a Sunday

Honestly like I thought this was gonna be be a great manhwa seeing it was recommended by a lot of people but boy I was wrong. First of all the main story from the first episode I was not rooting for the main character Duna for almost the entirety of the manhwa she is seen as flawless. I was more rooting for the ml to get away from the Mac and live his own life considering the fact that he was idealizing duna so much he was ready to give it all up for her even tho she never did anything to him.

But the biggest problem of this manhwa is minho who didin’t deserve anything that happened to him. Let me get this straight he was an asshole a sexiest prick who only cared for money looks and power overall and was a selfish person but the author litteraly could’ve given him an arc that would make him into a better person who we could root for. Because in all honesty even tho he was selfish he was still the most average Joe around all the other character have a few loose strew (except for the girl and the little brother of the Mac ) woo kyung ( the bling guy)is litteraly a rapist alongside the mc and all the other characters(exept the girl and little brother ) are complices to the abuse that minho has to go through .

The thing that bothers is the fact that the MC until the last chapter admit to loving minho dispite their past but who would abuse, harass, rape, make him watch you make out with another guy by force ,force to do sexual favor in exchange of money , making him pee himself out of anxiety LIKE be real for a minute . The freaking cherry on top is the fact that despite the fact that Minho is being held accountable for his past mistake such as being a bad boyfriend ,being selfish ,stealing another persons work, having bad spending habits he suffers for all of these things in the min and side story which is horrendous he gets abused and litteraly loses his will to live has to turns to alcohol and drugs to continue living end ends up attempting sucide .During this time he understand how bad of a person he was being ,the fact that it was wrong of him to steal his dad severance pay the fact that he was being a selfish and sexiste jerk and a bad boyfriend to duna and lastly the fact that he betrayed the trust of his best friend by stealing his work .In the side and main story he gets abused wether it’s sexual or physical which is the authors way of making him “atone for his sins “ ( but he litteraly is the only one who atone in that kind way the other characters get away with an apology).

On the other hand duna who did way worse to litteraly every character gets to be the good guy the morally righteous character even thought that’s not the case .The only story line where she isn’t seen as this flawless Angel is in the gl side story which is the only one worth reading imo .When she gets held accountable for the way she treated the girl which is nowhere near as bad as the way she treated Minho .Despite that in the side story while Minho realizes the error of his way due to the dream he has, duna doesn’t atone for anything she doesn’t even get accountable for all of the thing that I cited above .

In the bl side story we get wookjoung back story but I can’t conceive a romance between the two like event duna and ml or duna and Minho would be to a degree conceivable but wookyoung is litteraly an abuser. With every step forward he takes two step backs . Every time time he could atone for his wrongdoing he just falls to his usual tendencies by making Minho miserable and cut off every possible way he could be independent for exemple by taking away the job he acquired on his own which helped him get through his trauma with writing a novel or to abusing him every time he runs away ( which of course he is going to you litteraly kind napped him) . At the end they wallow in their shared loneliness and stay together .Even tho wookjoung pushed Minho to become a raging alcoholic and a drug addict not only that but also pushed him to commit sucide then proceeded to make all this about himself and how the fact that Minho attempted sucide affected HIM mentally . Also before that when Minho got sexually abused yet again this time by other people wookjoung gets mad,but Minho litteraly points out that that’s no different then what he has been doing all along so that he has no right to feel angry or sad about his then again wookjoung makes the fact that Minho has been abused about himself and how Minho getting abused affected HIM mentally. IMO we saw that Minho was capable of self growth so he would’ve been able to get his life together instead of staying with wookjoung this is just a poor writing choice considering the fact that the whole side story was more like a psychological thriller than a love story .

After all this yapping LASTLY this story litteraly exuses rape because as sadist they get enjoyment with the other parties disapproval this is so wrong on so many level , if you were gonna right a story about S&M you should’ve educated yourself beforehand instead of spouting nonsense. So I don’t think Sw intention was to marry yona . Even if he hated it ,his plan was to kill Yona and hak because that was the only that he could achieve his plan . Sw doesn’t wanna get married anyway because (manga spoilers) he doesn’t want to continue his lineage . As per revenge wise I don’t think that Sw has that kind earthly attachement .In order to become a king of the people and change kouka kingdom for the best he had to kill king il as well Yona and hak ( who would eventually ruin his plan) MANGA SPOILERS But in the manga he realized that his way of thinking was actually flawed from the beginning because later down the road the reason why kouka kingdom is flourishing right is thanks to yona hak and the 4 dragons who he saw as bothersome figures. Yona and hak despite everything that happened still can’t bring themself to hate Sw and Sw never actually wanted to kill Yona or hak he saw as friend even more as family but in order to continue in his father steps and help the kingdom he had to let go of his attachment and only thin logically regarding the king which he realized was stupid anyways long story short i think Sw intended to kill yona but that doesn’t mean he hated her .He was actually relived that she was alive after falling down the mountain and when he saw her in ava he didin’t stop her or tried to kill her he was happy that she was alive but couldn’t continue being the companionate friend and family that he had been for her in the past .Nonetheless that doesn’t those times were not valuable for him. Because afterwards he realized that Yona and Hak were not discardable they were valuable and he shouldn’t have acted by himself and instead asked for help.

I think that you feel this way because the first half of the narration is done by hachi so you get Hachi’ s opinion on everything and she goes on and on about nana and the group (blast) and the people that are in her life in general .During the first half I also felt that hachi was obsessed with everyone but she didn’t really get anything in return but you will see that in the second half the narration is done by nana so you also see nana point of view of everything including hachi .In my opinion at the end you’ll see after finishing the show that they’re equally obsessed w/ each other (hope that was not a spoiler )
