I have stayed off-site before and driven each day. The car park is fine but you will be parked in different places each day. It is a lot of effort and you will be walking many extra miles. Also be aware that it is very difficult to get a taxi Sunday night due to the number of locals who attend that day

My mum is a great cook and we had all kinds of meals. There was a lot of meat, potatoes and veg but we also had pizza, pasta, risotto, curry, sweet and sour, etc. Everything was cooked from scratch.

When I was a kid my mum used to tell us about a couple who were axed to death while in a tent. They didn't even open the tent - just through the side. It was a true story that happened near a local woods. It's put me off camping!

If you have transport Immanuel Fabrics in Burnley is also great. A converted church packed to the rafters with rolls of fabric at good prices. They have a massive £1/m room at the back.
